OT - anyone ever order from Proflowers?

I have a really good coupon in my entertainment book for roses from Proflowers. I want to have flowers sent to my Mom and Mother in law on Mother's day, since we will be out of town. Has anyone ever used them? Were the flowers good quality? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Yes! I highly recommend them. I ordered my mom flowers for Valentine's day and they were GORGEOUS. They arrived promptly. Some of the buds hadn't quite fully opened yet, so they lasted about 2 weeks! She loved them and said they smelled wonderful.

Before placing your order, do some web searches to see if there are any discount links or codes out there other than your coupon. I had a coupon code, but found one that was better by searching the web at the time.

I only order from them, have for years. The flowers are always perfect and they're guaranteed so if for any reason you aren't happy, all you (or the recipient) have to do is call and they'll immediately send another delivery.

If you send roses, the outer layer of petals has to be removed, but it says that in the instructions they send.

Search online to see if your coupon is better than other discounts. Also, I think they participate in ebates, so if you have an account, be sure to use them.
 
We use ProFlowers all the time and love it as do the people who receive the flowers. :flower3:

ETA: Heck, if I could afford it, I'd send the flowers to myself every month because they are so pretty.
 

We have used them since 2000, first for our wedding renewal and also to send relatives for all of their special occasions.:thumbsup2
 
All the time and I've never been disappointed. One time the vase arrived broken and I received a discount on my future order besides they sent the recipient a new one after the fact. I also love the fact that I get an e.mail telling me it was delivered.

I've actually also sent myself flowers from them for the holiday's etc and I felt that they really did last.

I'm actually waiting for flowers to be delivered to my MIL today for her b-day, I did 36 purple carnations.
 
Yes, I've used Proflowers tons of times and I've always been impressed. They always have some great coupon codes out (search your favorite coupon board), and they're on Ebates too. Their prices are great after the coupon codes/ebates, and the flowers are always awesome.
 
All the time and I have NEVER been dissapointed! If they do not live their full guarantee if you e-mail them they will send replacements too!
 
I sure haven't had the same experience with ProFlowers as the other posts. DH sent me flowers for anniversary. It was a large bouquet of multi-colored roses. Half of the buds were completely dead, in the center of the piece were only the heads of three roses, no stems, just the buds thrown in there to make the count. We called, complained, they sent another, and the second one had more dead flowers than the first. Not just brown, but withered. I've just been really disappointed with this company and their customer service was not the best either.
 
If for some reason you aren't happy or have a problem with your order, Proflowers will do WHATEVER it takes to make you happy. I have personally never ordered from them but worked taking orders for them this past Valentines Day.

Hopefully you called and complained again because they would have sent the order again AND refunded your order.
 
I recommend them as well. I sent my mom flowers and they died within a couple of days. I called Proflowers and complained and they sent a new and larger arrangement. Nice customer service!
 
I've ordered and recieved from them as well. Great flowers! I ordered lilies and they came tightly closed. It was a day or two for them to open, but them it seemed like they lasted forever! I really recommend them too.
 
I ordered from them once and will never, ever do it again. Yes, I called and they gave me a refund and re-sent the order. But it still means my mom didn't have any flowers on the first Mother's Day after my grandmother died, and I will not give them the chance to screw up anything again.
 
A few years back my husband sent me a dozen roses from Proflowers. They arrived at 7 p.m. (5 p.m was supposed to be the latest they'd arrive), and were half dead. I called them and they gave me a gift card.

I used the gift to send MIL flowers for Mother's Day. They were beautiful.

This past Christmas I ordered MIL an arrangement for her table. It arrived a day late, and we had to arrange the flowers while trying to finish dinner.

I don't think I'll use Proflowers again.
 
Here's another person that didn't have a great experience with ProFlowers. I ordered flowers for my mom when she was in the hospital. She was admitted in the evening and I ordered flowers for delivery the next day. They never arrived so I called ProFlowers who then offered to have the delivered to her at home (she'd since been discharged). Again, they never arrived. I called ProFlowers again and it turned out the florist they used refused to travel to where my mom lives (she's really out in the country) without an additional delivery fee. At that point I opted to cancel the order and get my money back.

Are you sure it wasn't a different company?, they use FedEx only, not a florist.
 
DH used Proflowers Valentine's Day 2007 and the roses were closed but opened within a few days and lasted at least 2 weeks

He used them again this past V-Day and they arrived #1 missing the vase, #2 with only one "live" rose (everything else was already droopy) - we took pics and e-mailed them, I have to double check to see if anything was ever done (DH is horrible with follow-up). The flowers were not replaced and as far as I know $ was not refunded.

I also don't like having to arrange the flowers myself, not lazy just can't ever get them to look right.

And I believe Proflowers only uses FedEx to deliver, not local florists.

They do sometimes use a local florist. If you need delivery for today or if you order after a certain time today for delivery tomorrow it will go through a local florist. They'll use their "sister site", FloristExpress, which is really going through a local florist.
