OT- Anyone ever know someone who has been on a reality show?

Boo from survivor is a good friend. He used to bartend where I currently work now and he owns a couple bars now where I Live..Pretty nice guy.

On of my dh best friends is on Can You Duet this season. He was actually with us on our first date!! lol. We all went to school together. I know the end results of the show, but shhhhhhh cant ruin it for anyone that watches.

My sister's best friend, Tanya Michele was on the Bachelor, season 6 and was one of the final 2- she was the runner-up. It was the bass fisherman, Byron and he picked Mary over Tanya. My sister was here and on the 'home town visit' show when they came to Dallas to meet Tanya's family.

My sis was also flown out by ABC to LA to be on the 'after the final rose' show where the former contestants come back and ask questions- my sis got to ask why he didn't pick her, why he led her on etc. It was fun to see. Tanya is still single though! i thought she was great on the show and avoided most of the cattiness and drama.

now everytime we see Tanya- we refer to her as 'Tanya, from ABC's the Bachelor'.....lol

she is the second one from the left, you might recognize her (my sister's wedding).

Alison Irwin, Big Brother, most disliked contestant made final 2, also was on Great Race...was in Miss PA with my daughter
Erika Shay, Great Race, was also in Miss pA with my daughter
Chet Welch the poor dude on survivor who was beaten by a brute...friend and director of Miss PA pageant

Oh, I meant Amazing Race...

I love the Bachelor and Bachelorette...would hate to be the last one standing like your friend...glad she got to ask him questions...what was his response?

I love Clay Aiken...LOVE HIM and voted for him in the finale 734 times. I kept the hash marks on the back of my check book...LOL. He has done very well as the runner up.

bsusan, I LOVE Clay...I voted every week for him, and cried when he lost. For years, I was one of those online fanatics called Claymate :P I still love him to pieces, but I am no longer a fanatic. :P

Now my obsession is Big Brother and Disney.

An ex-cook at the restaurant I work for was on "Hell's Kitchen" -

His name is Bobby Anderson - he was the tall black chef that mimicked chef Ramsey on the bus in the first episode on the second to last season.

He was a wise guy when he worked for us and from watching the show, he still is.

This is an interesting thread. I don't know anybody, but I'd love to be on Amazing Race! I am such a reality show junkie -- Survivor, AR, The Mole, Bachelor/Bachelorette.

One of the best exchanges of dialogue that season:

Chet: "I hit my head back there."
Joel, or "Brute": I don't care.
Chet [defeatedly]: "I know."

And that doesn't count as getting beaten. He was a weak player. This isn't a personal attack, but he couldn't outwit, outplay, or outlast many of the people that outlasted him.

My DH's second cousin was on Big Brother, Michael "Cowboy" Ellis. We didn't know at the time the show was on that they were related until DH's dad called and told him (DH's dad and Michael's mom are first cousins).

It totally knocked Michael out of name contention for us forever!

Well, it's not a reality show, but my sister and a bunch of other kids I were on "Where In Time is Carmen Sandiego". They came to our school to basically recruit contestants. My sister came in second, but her friend, who was on a different episode, won. I got to watch them shoot the episode. It was really cool. This was quite awhile ago - in like 1995.

My DH & I went to elementary school and college with Roger from the Biggest Loser. He's a really great guy!

Jackie and Dan Evans from Biggest Loser live nearby and my daughter was part of their after school camp program that Jackie runs. Dan is better known to us as Mr. Danny!! Jackie's after school program is vital to many working parents!
