We're heading there soon and wondered if anyone had any personal tips/info they could provide. Is there a lot to do in the rain? Thanks for any advice!

Are you going for the day, or camping there. We went a couple years ago with my 3 kids. As for the outside stuff...there is a great area for little ones...a big splash pad, the wave pool and water slides... then down below there was a lot of different things, the bumper boats, mini putt, batting cages and climbing activities, also there are go-carts. I would think if it was rainy that the inside would be a zoo. There is a large jungle gym sort of climber, and some arcade type games to play. Definitely more stuff outside than indoors.

My boys were around 3, 10 and 13 when we went there. They all found something that they liked to do, but we did need to split up as the 3 year old didn't want to do what the 13 year old wanted to do.

Hope this helps...have fun!!!

Sue

It is just down the road from me.

They have changed quite a few things, like they no longer have the bumper boats.

They now call themselves"The splash. Outside they have the water slides, wave pool and splash area.

Inside they have a giant arcade (tickets for prizes ) area. They also have a climber and slide. - you must have socks to go in this area. They also have an indoor glow in the dark mini golf.

Personally I wouldn't hang out here on a rainy day. I really don't like the layout of the games, and it is quite pricey (Chuck e cheese is way cheeper)

The water park will be openin the rain, just not in the thunder.

Another local - we don't go often, but based on what I remember: There is mostly outside stuff. The indoor arcade was pretty small (but that was 2 or 3 yrs ago), and there is also a small rock climbing activity and a small indoor climber type playground that another poster talked about. Not much there. I took my kids to the indoor playground, and it really wasn't worth the money as it is small, and my then 8 yr old was bored. ( If you are looking for an indoor kids play area, check out Kid Zone on Northfield Drive in Waterloo - the best in the area. ) For me, Bingeman's would be fine on a nice weather day, otherwise I would find somewhere else to go.

I havent been to Bingemans in years!! and I live 20 min away from it :rotfl:

I do remember really enjoying the mini-golf and water boats there (other than the wave pool and water slides) although things may of changed since I last went...have a great time!!

Yes a great deal has changed. You have to go through Fun Worx a ticket with prizes arcade to get to the water park now, as I said the bumper boats are now gone, as is the outdoor playground that use to be across from the water park.

There is a rock climbing wall in FunWORx, though there is an extra charge to use it.

I haven't been there in almost 20 years! Does anyone remember the indoor roller skating rink? As a teenager, I spent most of my time in there! ;)

OMG YES i do remember that rink. You must also remember super skate 7 in waterloo too.

MEMORIES!!!!

Oh my goodness!!! The super skate!!!

Weirdly enough, I still think about Goudie's - my mom used to take me there shopping and then we would have a "ladies lunch" in their basement restaurant. I made an older gentleman almost cry when I talked about it.

And Hi-way Market too, with the huge toy section!

Good times.
