Can someone help with ideas? I'm the person in charge of our Halloween float for Cub Scouts and we've decided to do Woodstock since it's both the anniversary of boy scouting and woodstock. We have a "friendly" rivalry between the three scout groups in town and each year it's kinda a competion when it comes to the parade float. We've won two of the last three years, but last year we lost and the boys were devastated. The floats are completely top secret until the night of the parade. So far we've made tie-dye shirts and we have a VW van, but I'm out of ideas. Besides flowers and peace symbols, what do we do? My DH wanted us to roll the windows down and put a smoke machine in the bus, but I had to veto that. Hilarious idea, but would probably not go over well with the BSA. Last thing I need to do is explain to 50 scouts about the marijuana aspect of woodstock
. Need something more kid-friendly.
So, what music do you think of when you think 60s hippies and woodstock?
We need a really good slogan for on the huge backdrop, but I'm stuck. Anyone? You would be the hero of the cubbies.
