I skipped vmk tonight to watch the premiere of American Idol and well, to be honest I am still trying to figure out why they said the notorious "Yes" to the last guy that "talked to animals". Hmm...does he show as a good example to the kids of America? I can hear it now... "Yes kids, go play. Oh and make sure to jump around like a monkey with an illness. Even though you can't sing, go try out. We will watch you make fools of yourselves as you start to turn your eyes to the back of your head leaving the whites of it showing. Lets give them something new, something different, something devilish! Yeah that's it!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: If they said Yes to him, who else did they say yes to that we don't know about? Hmm... :scratchin :rotfl:

I know, we were watching it too. He was a nut and a half to be sure! Should be interesting to see him in Hollywood! :rotfl2:

Now does anyone have a favorite that they let in I like the black girl and the first set of twins they have amazing voices !!!!!!!!!!!
I also skipped vmk last night for it I just die laughing when I watch that omg they swore more than i sweared this year!!!!!!

:rotfl2:
So funny! Talk around the "water cooler" today (yeah, no water cooler, but us girls were talking about it while folding jeans) was all about AI last night!

Forget about the jumping guy....what about that girl and her MOM!!! Holy cow! DH and I were laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face and couldn't breathe!

She was what, 16?? And her mom had almost as much makeup on to what, try and make her look younger?!? OMG!!! :scared1:

Can't wait to see what other interesting singers show up tonight.

"So tell me about the tan..."

"Huh? Oh yeah, I will be singing..."

"No, tell me about your tan."

"Huh? Oh...yeah. Uh. Huh?"

I was also laughing very hard when she come on! :rotfl2: LOL Especially when Simon had asked her if her mom agreed with that tan and amount of make-up on only then to find out the mom had just as much if not more!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I also found the "blue moon" girl hilarious! She repeated "blue moon" about 7 times to then change to "reflection" only then to go immediately back to "blue moon" LOL! :rotfl2:

We laughed for 2 hours on the couch at my house too and I even missed the closing dance for it!!
How funny was the guy who sang "I shot the sheriff" over and over and over and over.

The guy who was dressed as the statue of liberty I felt was robbed. They never even gave him a chance, regardless of coming in with the costume on. Many others came in looking wackier then him. I felt bad for him.

The girl they had to bleep while she sang her song, in addition to constant bleeping when they booted her sorry butt out - should have been slapped silly! And if that was her mother walking next to her - she should have been slapped right along with her for allowing that!!

Loved the sets of twins (and sisters), they were all great. Really liked the gal who sang the Alicia Keys song and thought Simon should have been slapped for his comments on the stage being big enought. Really liked the young guy who sang Sinatra and almost had a heart attack when he almost didn't make it thru. I also really liked the red haired guy from previous shows who sang oldies like him.

It should be another great season....animal guy at the end was just wrong....flat out wrong...to move him on.

LOL! I just saw tonights and all I can say is :rotfl2: !!!! LOL. I would like that "coaster" so that I may watch my drink as it spills everywhere! :rotfl2: I thought that song fit him well (the one with the coaster) "If I only had a Brain" LOL!

the first set of twins

The first set of twins... The ones in the white shirts that sang together then each sang a song on their own? I heard they committed a crime and one is in jail and the other they are looking for currently.

I thought "flawless" and the cowboy guy were funny. Oh, and the last guy on the second one. Only in his(?) case it was more creepy than funny.

The Paris Hilton look alike was scarey!!!! and her mom was worse. I really do wish Simon had given her a " oh now I see where she gets it!". This is America we are seeing, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Oh and didn't you just love the cowboy, how cute!!! I think even Simon was taken in by how sweet and innocent he was, I don't think it was an act. See, even Simon has a heart at times.

They say that some of them get through just to make "good television" not that they have any talent whatsoever. It's true, we love to see the truly weird!

When they get to Boston keep an eye out for Ayla Brown. She's amazing, 6 ft tall, smart, athletic and just adorable, my two teenagers have friends who are friends of hers (my son's friend dates her and another friend took her to the prom last year and my daughter's friend plays basketball with her, they all go to different schools).

We live in Massachusetts so it will be interesting to see if we know anyone. :teeth: I was so happy they let the cowboy kid through! Simon had such a heart to let him go to Hollywood.

I didn't like that last kid. He did not have a good voice and he thought the only reason he didn't make it was because the judges were "prejudice". I mean come on!! If he didn't want people to think he looked like a girl maybe he should stop dressing like one!!! Then again, that is just a thought lol.

I watched both nights and can't remember when I laughed so hard! The Paris Hilton tan girl was too funny, the guy in the yellow outfit and his coaster inventing buddy, oh and what was with the last boy (?) on Wednesday night?? I LOVE american idol auditions!!!

Quoting my own previous post from 2 weeks ago. At the end of last night's American Idol in the preview of Boston they have two clips of Ayla Brown, "we went to Boston... where we found the all-american girl!" You all have to watch for her, she's such a cutie!!!!!

Oh! I will look for her! What does she look like?

I also noticed that Boston appears as if it will be filled with "different" people lol. Let's hope it represents MA well! :thumbsup2

I watched for her and I saw her! She is a great singer! :thumbsup2 I saw the name and thought, "why does this stick out in my mind so much!" So I came back to this thread and saw she was mentioned here! :teeth:
