best of luck with her they are a wonderful breed with lots of love in them and they stay tiny forever!
everyone's dogs are soo cute...hmmm we need a pet thread here i think??
Oh wow, how beautiful.
We too have just got a new pup. Her name is Hollie, she is a black Cocker Spaniel and she was born on 28th November.
Some of you may remember that our beloved Bertie (our 7 year old golden cocker spaniel ) died on 3rd Feb 06, just 2 weeks before we were to fly off to WDW for our wedding. It was a horrendous time, I lost over a stone in weight, and my dress didn't fit properly, due to the heartbreak.
It was the anniversary this weekend, but we have just got Hollie, who helped to brighten our day. She is just so beautiful and we love her loads.
Here she is:

I just love big dogs!! Summer-Caitlin I think yours is so cute too!! DH wont let us have a big dog-- he knows i have to bring my dogs in the house, ya know? Too cold outside for them to live-- and a big dog would take over the place (or so he says). I come from a house where my mom had an a rotweiler inside the house as a pet (which is the best dog ever...).
Well, I know it's been a while since I posted last. Still haven't kicked this cold... although it has since morphed into a cough and now into a sore throat... maybe one day I'll feel better. In the meantime, we have 2 dogs, 2 cats and an African Grey parrot that plucks himself to keep us happy... along with our 10 year old daughter and new baby growing in me... I will have to post some pics later since I'm at work now and don't have any on this computer. They are adorable though. The oldest one is my DH's cat, Zoey (the only one I don't get along with). He's a mixed breed and he's old. He is going to be 15 this May and showing his age. Next oldest is my "puppy" Jake.He is going to be 9 years old this summer. He's a mixed breed also - mostly beagle but some basset hound in him. He's tall though. He stands about 20". He's the greatest!! Never growls, bares teeth and the only time he barks is when he sees a cat outside or squirrel or bird or anything that moves.... next is our other dog, Crawford. She is named after the town we got her in. She was the bonus gift when we purchased our land in TN. There was a dog there that had 9 puppies. She was the runt. Andrew fell in love with her. The man who sold us the land said we could take her. They were trying to find homes for all of them anyway. Her father was 100% Spitz and her mom was something like a cattle shepard, so she's actually pretty small and extremely timid. She sheds like there's no tomorrow. If we collected all the hair, we could have made about 3000 yards of carpet by now....
and then there's our bird. His name is Houdini - he got out of his cage the first week we had him. He was a beautiful Congo African Gray Parrot until we moved him without preparing him properly and now he won't let any of his feathers grow back in. It's sad to look at if you've never seen him before, but after a while, it just becomes funny.
We are still trying to get him to break the habit of plucking, but it's not easy.... And the newest addition to our family is my Siamese cat. I say mine because he cuddles with me all the time and it was my idea to rescue him. He was a stray at a professor's house and since she already had 4 cats, she couldn't take him in. I told her if she couldn't find his owner, I'd take him. Well, she tried to finding an owner. She looked for 2 months, advertised, the whole nine... but no one responded. So, I went and picked him up. He is the greatest cat ever!!
He is playful, loving, sweet and has the worst breath ever!!! Fish breath, yuck!! Good thing he has a cute face.

Diane, my parents have an African Grey too. I guess it's technically my brother's b/c he picked it out when he was 10. Does yours mimic peoples' voices exactly? Their's does and boy is it scary! I'll think my mom is home when she's notWhen I bring my dog up to NJ, he'll call the dog over in my voice and confuse the poor thing! It's so funny!
