1) Decided to see Osborne Lights on Friday evening.
2) Want to get them in before their last showing.
3) Still wondering what WDW will do with them after this season.
. . . discard them?
. . . move to Disney Springs?
. . . find a totally new locale for them?

I vote for 3)B or 3)C....so many people love coming to walk around the lights...I can't believe they would just totally ditch the entire thing!!!

I could use them on my campsite...

... as long as they don't go over the "property line" towards the next site.

Oh, and they would have to be powered off your site as well (don't mess with the Fort electrical system, Clark ....)

The last I heard, some of the family had already had a meeting with them, and were going to take back the lights that belonged to them (this info is straight from the family member). Don't think Disney has any intentions at this time to continue with the lighting - too bad though - everyone seems to enjoy them so much!

I've heard rumors they might move them to EPCOT

1) I have no idea.
2) There are thoughts, rumors, and speculations.
3) Nothing "concrete".

NOTE: If the family takes back some or all of their "family-owned" lights, the question pops up as to WHERE they can display them. They lost the court case for a neighborhood display due to traffic flow and crowds. Maybe they can find an alternate location.

Along the same lines, I wonder what they did with the wonderful light display canopy you used to walk through from Future World to the World Showcase at Epcot?

Just visited the lights tonight! They were great as usual...bittersweet...

It was stated on another thread by the family member that Disney has provided them with an inventory list of what will be returned once they dismantle the lights. It seems that this is really the last time they will be displayed at Disney. I'm so glad we got to see them once and enjoy the wonder that Mr Osborne created.

I have a thought about future state.

The family members will be picking up the "stuff", the angels, Santa and sleigh, trees, etc. The actual lights on the buildings don't belong to the family, they are Disney's. So, I'm hoping that they will put them at either Disney Springs or Epcot all over the buildings. They can still play music and have the lights flash to the music, they just won't have the big stuff in the sky. That's the stuff that makes the "Osborne Family" lights.

I hope they put them in Disney Springs. That would make walking around, shopping and hanging out a "must do."

I first viewed the lights 2 years ago during a Thanksgiving week trip to the Fort. My DW had seen them previously. I loved them. Glad we were able to see them one more time. Sad that my children who love all things Disney also were not able to view them. Here are a couple of pics from the other night.

Notice the white angel directly under the globe. Has a special meaning.

Thank you for posting the pictures. Never have been there to see them.

Just saw them on Saturday during the W&D half of a half marathon, then again on Monday night. I keep thinking that they will shelf them for next year and find another home for them after that...but time will tell I guess!
