osborne lights

hi everyone...does anyone know when the osborne lights begin at hs? i know they say november thru january but i was wondering when in november? we wanted to go the nite before thanksgiving & i'm not sure if they've started it yet!!! we usually don't decorate our home for christmas until the day after thanksgiving & i'm wondering if disney does the same...thanks!!!

Disney is doing a good job of keeping us in the dark, so far, in regards to dates for Osborne. I'm hoping they release the dates soon.

Most of Disney Christmas Decor is up in time for Thanksgiving week.As for OSborne lights..No word yet..the last 2 yrs they started in early November( the same time as MVMCP which this year is Nov 8th).Before that they started Thanksgiving week or the day after..

I hope they stick with what they have done most recently. We changed our annual Halloween time trip to just before Thanksgiving so the kids could see the decorations and especially the Osborne lights.

The one year we went in mid January all Christmas decorations including the OL were done. I'm thinking only a few days in January if that.

That's correct.

In Jan. 2010 there was a very unusual situation (bitter cold snap) that caused Disney to decide to extend the Christmas lighting events until about Jan. 12, or so.

But, they did not do that in Jan. 2011, even though the weather again was very cold.

In general, expect all Christmas events to end at the end of Dec.,
with the Osborne Lights (maybe) extending into the first 3-4 days of January.
