Osborne Lights/Fantasmic

In December when the Osborne Lights are on (I believe 6p-7p); can you still go see them after Fantasmic? I would also like to see Fantasmic which has a show at 7, but I'm afraid if there's a big line to see the Lights then I won't be able to get a decent seat at the Fantasmic Show.

We were at WDW from the Wednesday before Christmas until the Wednesday after the holiday last year (returning during the same window this year). After reading all the posts about crowds at MGM to see the Osborne Lights, we weren't even sure if we would venture into that park at night. Boy were we surprised to find NO crowds there before Christmas. Admittedly, it was pretty darn chilly at night last year; so I don't know if the cold kept people away or all of the warnings about crowds or if everyone local had already hurried up to see the lights before they "expected" the crowds to arrive. Regardless, it made for a great visit for us!

Okay, I'm silly, there are EMH's that night for MGM in the evening... Guess my problem is solved....

It depends. If this year is like previous years, the answer is yes, you can see the OL after Fantasmic.

However, if there is a private event scheduled right after or at official park closing, then you will not be able to walk back to see them after Fantasmic. An example of a private event is the special private time the Pop Warner kids have had at MGM for one night (usually 7 -midnight) during their early December tournament.

Best thing to do is ask one of the CMs at Guest Services if there are any private events scheduled for the evening of the day you plan to visit MGM. If not, it's a good bet that you will be able to see the Lights after Fantasmic.
