Orthotics

Have you ever ordered orthotics online? I am seeing companies that send you a box of "squishy stuff" that you step into, send back to them, and they send you your orthotics. Have you done this? How do they compare to the ones you had made in-person?

My podiatrist uses the squishy stuff to make my molds and then sends them off. Since he is doing it, insurance pays for 1 set a year. Im guessing you would have to pay out of pocket if you do it on your own.

I would have someone help me if I were doing the home hit. You will stand in the box and have someone press your tows down for you. I think if you were to reach down and press your own toes, it would change your pressure points.
