Orlando Vista Hotel ... anyone ever stayed there?

I recently made a reservation for one night at the Orlando Vista Hotel, it used to be Doubletree Suites I think, and was just wondering if anyone has stayed there and what your experience was? I figure for one night, I can stay anywhere but I still like to hear other peoples opinions before I get there, just in case. For those who may or may not know this hotel, its the one on 535 near DTD, that has the big pineapples out front! We got a great deal on the room, so like I said one night won't kill me but I just want to hear from others who may have stayed there before!

I would be curious to find out as well, we have booked a week there Dec 1st to 8th, I havent been able to find any reviews about it on here, I hope its alright!! I guess ill find out when I get there!!

The only reviews I have found for this hotel have been on www.tripadvisor.com and they have been mixed, so I was just curious if any DISers have stayed there ...

We haven't stayed there since 2004 (back when it was The Doubletree Club), but we thought it was quite nice then! The location, right at the entrance to Downtown Disney, is excellent and the Au Bon Pain restaurant off the lobby has wonderful sandwiches. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we ran across a great deal!

We stayed there when it was the Doubletree Club about four times, the last time a couple years ago. We always enjoyed our stay and never had a problem. They had comfy beds with down alternative comforters. Very nice. The staff was always very friendly and helpful.
