Orlando Vista anyone?

just won this on priceline. It used to be the Doubletree. Is this one of the DTD hotels? Any advice? TIA

The Orlando Vista is indeed the former Doubletree just outside of Hotel Plaza (Downtown Disney); it is off to the left as you exit Disney property at Crossroads. This is not one of the Downtown Disney hotels per se, but it is physically about as close as you could get and still be off WDW property.

The only thing I wonder about is why it's no longer a Doubletree. The property has been showing up on Hotwire a lot lately; that may mean nothing more than there are now no rooms being booked direct through Doubletree.

I pricelined for two nights at the end of our trip in July. I got it for $42/night.
I've been doing some checking. Everyone says it's pretty nice. Apparently it has a loud painting on the side of the building.

Doubletree sold and now it's Orlando Vista effective 01/01/07. The rumor is they are going to turn it into condos eventually. I've only heard good things about it. My source at Unofficial Guide says they have stayed there in the last 30 days and it is very nice, but no so quiet because of it's location to DTD. The rooms are quiet, but the common areas are not.

Thanks everyone.Just staying here for 2 nights before and after a dvc stay onsite. Paid $64 but am happy with that since it was VERY last minute and I didn't want to go below 2.5 stars.

I was just wondering if anyone else had any reviews on this hotel, we'll be staying there 4 days in July then moving on to the Swan for 4-5 more...got it on priceline for $52.
