Hi all-

I have a family reunion in August and will be spending the week in Orlando. Planning a few days in DW and Universal. Afterword we are planning a road trip to Key West with a day on Biscayne national park and taking the ferry to Dry Tortugas National park. I know it's August but my family can handle the heat if we are swimming or on the water. My question is about the everglades. I am thinking of doing an air boat tour? will this be uncomfortable in August? or is the boat going fast enough to cool off? How are the bugs? would you recommend it? What about hikes? is it ever comfortable to walk out side in August? What about at 8am? or 10am? Shark Valley???? I assume that it's too hot to do the 15 mile bike ride.... what about the tram? Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. We are a family of 4 from Washington State. Not used to heat or humidity. How much should I plan in the everglades?

I am a European Heat will be heat

Whatever the weather Do the Shark Valley Tram Tour...... Well worth it .

Visit Everglades City and do The Thousand Isles Boat Tour

The very good Airboat Ride is close by along Hwy Alligator Hwy

I live in Orlando and have visited Key West in August. It was HOT and worse, incredibly humid. 🥵

Of course, it'll be similar in Orlando. 😬

You can do an airboat ride in Kissimmee or near Titusville if you're not tied to the Everglades.
