With the impending hurricane approaching Florida the theme parks are likely to be impacted in some capacity whether it's rain and light winds to much much more.

Port Canaveral is closing today due to the storm.

Disney is waiving fees on cancellations as well as some airlines are doing so.

Ft. Wilderness campsite guests are being given room accommodations

If you are in the area continue to monitor the weather and make sure to evacuate or take cover if said to do so. Some hurricane tracks have this lasting into next week if the storm loops back around.

Based on the 11am update from the National Hurricane Center...Port Canaveral is really going to get hammered.

I believe the Disney Dream is supposed to return to PC on Friday morning, and the Fantasy the on Saturday. I don't see how that happens, in fact, I think PC is officially closing later today. People currently on those ships may be in for an extended cruise.

Interesting that DCL hasn't posted any change of plans for the Dream or Magic sailing on October 7th.

What a mess for those campers, hopefully everyone stays safe and those RVs wont be damaged too much. I was curious as to what they would do with the campground.

I'm assuming if you're traveling with a pet at the campground, those pets would be boarded on property?

That would be my guess. Best friends pet care isn't too far away. I'm sure fees would be waived as well.

Reports are the Polynesian bungalows and Saratoga Springs Treehouses will be evacuated next as precaution.

Has anyone heard if Universal is doing anything? I haven't seen anything.

I'm seeing reports on twitter that people are calling up Universal asking about possible refunds or transfers and they won't offer any because they plan on being open.

Theme Park Insider is reporting, " Reports also have SeaWorld Orlando closing at 2pm Thursday and all day Friday. Legoland Florida will be closed on Friday."

Pretty risky move on their part, especially if the storm does hit hard.

No word from DCL on what they're planning with their ships and itineraries?

I get the tree houses because of height but why the bungalows? As far as pets, I would think those in RVs could just stay but I would have a problem were I there and they asked me to put my dog in boarding. She is tiny small and very submissive and can't be in populations with other dogs.

No word from DCL yet. My guess is they are going to wait as long as they can before announcing major things for a ship.

I'm sure the bungalows are built to withstand these types of conditions, but Disney wants to take no chances with guest safety in the event that something does happen. Easier to just move them out and away from the water.

Bungalows are elevated and over water. It's just precautionary.

The RVs are being moved to the MK parking lot probably in case of falling debris from trees and such. Best friends pet care is operated by a third party but on Disney property. I've heard very good things about best friends pet care.

Kennedy Space Center will be closed Thursday and Friday and hopes to reopen Saturday.
