Orlando Smackdown: Dis vs. Uni. Ch.16 Japan Hates me, Just Hates me 7-13

102? ummmm..... well, I hope you enjoy your puddle of melted wunderbars! Just open up the package, stick in a straw and voila!
I know right! we usually get an early heat snap but this is unusual even for us. a bit warm for a week or so and then we get cooler temps for a bit (trust me not long enough) It should be ok Lance will be home except for tomorrow (no no don't even think it)
Just in case I have my straw waiting.....

Wow Kon! That's craziness.... but at least it's not near you. The video was scary- it even SOUNDED scary.
Our weather guy told me we had a high of 78(F) here today.

marking my spot...

Spiffy.
Do you know how hard it is to get that smell out of the crotch?

I mean couch.

OrangeCats is right... WHERE is Nebo and Smidgy... I felt better knowing they were back and that I'd have something to read again.. (as for some bizzare reason I am caught up on ALL of my TRs). I hope they are okay.. does anyone have their number? Should we call and check on them?

Yes, not to worry, Nebo is fine, and Smiggy will be out of rehab in another 14 days, her time off of work was a bit of a sensory overload for her

Talked to Nebo Wednesday night. He's fine. Said he was working on the next chapter. When he'll post it is another story, but guessing it may be soon.

Hey,,, Mike? Guess what? I lied. Hadn't even started on it yet, except in my mindBut I have now. I know, I know,,, you are wondering how much of ELO I am going to make out of our "encounter"!

but the good news is,, I'm only a page and a half down/behind on this stupid thread.

By the way,,, what a great job by the Rebels in Shenandoah Country, in being so persistant in making sure the Ponz got his ZD's.. here here, well done Double D and Mr. B.

Hmm,, I'm sure I must have clicked on something Ponzi said,,, I had to , right? but it's not showing up,,, hmmm

I spent Mother's Day walking around Boston

" Please come to Boston" ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wan't that Dave Mason that sang that? And didn't he just die a couple days ago?

\\

Yes, I know, that can happen, especially after spending an evening with Norm and Sam and Cliffy, at the Bar maid famous from the tve show.
Hold it, ] No She wasn['t famoust from it,,, I WAS, well ok,, I thought I was, for at least an agonozing minute or two.
My whole, entire body shook, I stargted to sweat, and then the blast came!

I very quickly then came to remember just why I don't like ordering my pizza with Pepperoni any more.
So, where was I?

Oh, shott.
You man I just typed all this and it's not even going to fall into the " Uner a chapter" headline?
Ach Mein Gott. Yes, this is what happens when you get better and mor familiar ith the trip report writing . You start to think you are gettin better at doing it,, and you wish to keep improving on it, but a pig is still part of the Porkine family, no atter how you try to fancy him up.

. My DH and DD had Red Sox tickets, so I went along for the ride. We visited the marathon bombing site, which was strange- there's no big shrine or anything that screams, "This is where it happened!" I located the finish line bomb site by looking down at the sidewalk - there's one big area of concrete that's patched with black asphalt. Other than a few decorated trees along the route, there's not a lot to see. I said to my DD, "It's like the city is closing back in on it." Which later I felt was exactly right - why give the terrorists a permanent monument?

Also saw some adorable 3 year old girls dressed as ducklings near the Swan Boats (OMG- so cute! There was some kind of Mother's Day parade) where they have the Make Way for Duckling statues, and checked out the new Earl of Sandwich restaurant on the Boston Common that they put in a building that used to be a public restroom. Yep. I was so excited - it's one of my favorite Disney eateries but alas, the menu is quite limited and my two favorites were missing (mediterranean tuna and BLT) so I tried the caprese. Of course it was good, but I had been really looking forward to the tuna. Oh, well. I'll be at Downtown Disney in a couple of weeks.

For 10 fantastic days at Disney. Port Orleans French Quarter and floatin' down the Sassagoula Riva (in my best southern drawl)

Off the record, befor I close out the stupid entryI need to mention something:

You didn't say what time the next "Day after tomorrow" that Lance will be home!

\ Ok, momma needs the puter, and I need to go and find some quokes and juips somewhere I can plagarize and post under my name, yes, I've found that the " Take my wife " line, isn't really working anymore. Ok, gottsa run,,, soon.

Smidgy, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and were able to rest well at some point. :goodvibes Again, glad you both are back from your trip safely.
I am back from my conference with my mom at the Swan and Goldfish, I mean Dolphin. We had a blast. Can't wait to read your next installment Nebo.

You found it on your computer? Huh. I could've sworn I sent it via snail mail and not email.

Glad you liked 'em! And pleased, if somewhat surprised, that they were intact.

Don't know why I just thought of this... but Canada has another chocolate favorite that is no longer found in the US....

Kinder Surprise

I LOVE Kinder Surprise! I brought back a whole case when I moved back from Germany for my Mom's 2nd grade class.

Banned because of the small toys inside.

Choking hazard for people who have kids whose parents don't know how to parent.

I will personally send one Wunderbar chocolate bar to anyone other then Nebo, Smidgy or myself who knows what that means.

Without Googling it.

Months late I'm sure but I got the Singing Nun reference as soon as I saw it. So remember that song from when I was a little kid; we made up so many stupid versions of it.

WARNING: Off topic (kind of-- but hasn't this whole TR kind of de-railed?)

1- Wunderbar in German is Wonderful in English..
so, it's a Wonderful Bar.

2- I live in Indianapolis and went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway yesterday with my dad and youngest brother... I got a little cooked. The tv station I work for has a weather slogan "should've watched O'Brien & Brian" because our morning weather guy is Jim O'Brian and our evening weather guy is Brian Wilkes. So, me and my sunburn went viral today.

Whoa. A little cooked?? Hope it doesn't hurt as much as it looks like it hurts! But at least you're famous now!

BTW, that video was hilarious.

Plus I'm jealous. I've only been to the Indy twice.... what a show. Gotta get back again soon.

It's a Wonderful Bar.

A delightful tale directed by Frank Caramel about a man (George Aero, played by James Snickers) who's down in his Reeses Cups and needs a break from life but can't find a Kit Kat. An angel (Cadbury, played by Henry Toblerone) descends from the Milky Way and grants him a Bounty by showing him what life would be like if he'd never been born. (Lionel Dairy Milk steals the show as the evil Mr. Crunchie)

:lmao:

Today is mainly tan... except for about a 3 1/2 inc band around the top of my arm, that's still red. I woke up this morning and literally had to peel the bed sheets off of my arm.. and the short-sleeve of my Tinkerbell night shirt off of the top... I'm guessing that's why the top is still red... because my nightshirt was stuck to it all night.
Anyway... it actually didn't hurt too much... it was just hot- you could feel me radiating heat from about 6 inches away.:cool2:
Hopefully it'll be all better tomorrow.:beach:
