Orlando Sanford Airport ??

Anyone fly into Orlando Sanford Airport? Any idea how far it is from WDW? Thanks!

Yes we flew into Sanford Airport. Tiffany Town Car picked us up, it was about an hour and fifteen to Port Orleans Riverside.

We live in Lake Mary which is right next to Sanford. I would say 45 minutes from WDW on a good traffic day. It very much depends on rush hour etc.

Sanford has long been the airport for many European charter flights. I haven't actually seen it but I assume it's a pretty good airport.

It's longer than 45 min., I think the 1 hr. 15 min. was more accurate. It's a nice little airport. If you are driving bring your EZpass, they had LOTS of tolls. We flew out of Allentown to Sanford. The deal was great and worth the money we saved.

Anyone know the distance from Sanford to Port Canaveral? We booked Trans Meridian airlines direct from Toledo for our cruise ($195 per, best I was getting was $232 into MCO). We are flying in the morning before but just wanted to know about time and tolls.

The quickest way for us to go is get on I-4 at Sanford and it is only 30 to 35 miles from Sanford.We get on at the Lake Mary exit and it is 30 miles. There are also NO tolls to pay and it is a straight shot as opposed to getting on toll roads. The toll roads do take longer unless there is a back up on I-4. Do not mean to dispute anyone else but we go at least every other weekend lately.There could be exceptions I guess but so far it as been a much quicker trip than posted above. Of course all of this depends on TRAFFIC. Good luck with your travels!
