Orlando Rush Hour in October

Hi gang,
We're headed to WDW next week for our first visit! (Yikes...) Does anyone know what the traffic might be like? We are staying off-property at the Buena Vista Suites. They tell us that they are 1 1/2 mi away from the WDW gate, but we also are visiting US and IOA. If we want to be good DISers and get there at the rope-drop, how long should we plan for traveling time?

to go to MK leave 45 min to 1 hour prior to park opening
any other park leave 30 /45 min prior to park opening
US/IOA is a toughie since you would be taking I-4 and if there's an accident.....it could take a while, or it could take 15 min or so.

on I-4 it's ALWAYS rush hour

I don't know but somebody is a little off. Buena Vista Suites is only 1 1/2 miles from Disney. 15 minutes from the MK. 20 - 25 minutes to US and if you mean Orlando Intrnational Airport 25 minutes. Going to US is the only time you might travel I-4.

well 15 min drive time to MK, then they have to go through the toll gate, drive to parking spot, take tram to TTC and then take monorail/ferry boat to MK. That's why I said 45-60 min.
IOA is Islands of Adventure
OIA is Orlando International Airport
