Orlando In Summer - Should We?

Hi
we have booked for the last 2 weeks next aug( also due to school terms) and have found the flights to be really expensive( virgin!) but booked a DCL 3 night that was much cheaper than other times in the summer. my main concerns are the crowds and potential hurricain! best wishes, Ruth

if you're going in the second half of august, the crowds won't be a problem at all....
however, it will still be hot....and of course, you never know about hurricanes... but from our experience, the last two weeks of august are a fantastic time to go due to the lower crowd levels (as compared to july)....

Ruth - this is defnitely true as I said earlier on this thread, Beth is right - last 2 weeks of August are very quiet at the parks, we went then this year and are going next also.

It's the price that's the main problem, like you we are going with Virgin and the fly-drive prices are ridiculous, it's just the only time we can go now really.

Hi
it may be worth checkin airmiles site, i booked virgin flights and saved (£300ish) and they were cheaper even without using points.

Thanks for all your reasurrance

It is hot and humid. But if you are going for 4 weeks then you can pace yourselves - take relaxing days at waterparks or KSC or just shopping. You won't need to rush the whole time so it should be quite manageable.

That's right, we are going for 3 weeks now, plus with being frequent visitors it does help when you can take everything at a relaxed pace.
We never spend all day at any park anyway, having breaks in-between is essential during the hotter months.
