We will be here several months. While in Walgreens I noticed they have the orlando entertainment book for
$35. I did not have time to look through it and am wondering if anyone has bought it, and is it worthwhile to take the time to go back and look at it. TIA Grammy

You can order directly from ENtertainment.com for much much less and they offer a generous rebate via ebates.com

after rebate - i got mine for $12 each (one for Chicago and one for Orlando for our trip)

We ordered it but never really used it. We found that alot of the restaurants weren't close to where we were staying, and the ones that we did venture to were in questionable neighborhoods. We wanted it for the car coupons, and at the time, Universal hotels were still in it (they are no longer part of the Entertainment book). We found we used our AAA card more than that book. I would look online at the participating restaurants first before purchasing it. Also, did you know that you can get a 2 week Entertainment book online membership that gives you access to their coupons (printable) that are the same discounts as the book? The online membership, don't quote me, I think is $10, and you can print as many coupons as you like, as long as they are used in the two week period of your membership (therefore, print them off as close as you can to your departure date).

Or....if you just want it for car/hotel deals, just get one for your own city and at least you can use it for the rest of the year!

I bought the 2011 Orlando book for our March trip and I'm not sure what it will be used for. The car coupons do not come close to the rate I got through carrentalsavers.com back in the Fall. As you mention the restaurants don;t seem so spectacular. I searched but could not find a thread where anyone lists the best 'deals' in the book to take advantage of.

I bought it last year at a discount. I got my money back plus some in savings. Given that, most of the restaurants we visited are also on Restaurant.com or available as Orlando Sentinel deals. We also used a mini golf coupon. We did a lot of research to read reviews before deciding which restaurants to visit. If you check the "Orlando" forum, there is some information on off site dining.

I would also suggest looking at the site to see what is available and if it is of interest to you before purchasing.

Also, the coupons expire November 1; the price for the book goes down the closer you get to that date. As noted you can get cash back through rewards programs.
