I think I've read where there is a Disney outlet not too far from DTD and one not too far from Universal.

Anyone who is familiar with these stores, can you tell me about what types of products can be find there and what kind of discounts are typical?

Actually there are two Disney outlet stores.

The 1st location is Disney's Character Premiere which is located at the Orlando Premium Outlets.

The 2nd location is Disney's Character Warehouse located at the Orlando Premium Outlets - International Drive.

We hit the one at Premium Outlets on Vineland (the Premiere location) every year for gifts and souvenirs. The stock they carry covers pretty much everything you would find at a Disney Parks store, but it is the remainder of last year's product. Clothes are an amazing deal - We bought a couple of Disney Hoodies this year for $20-30; more than 50% off what they were at the parks last year; T-Shirts are around $8 and up. There is limited selection, and usually some of the "less popular" designs, but we always find stuff we like. Disney has pretty good market taste, so "less popular" doesn't mean ugly.

They have a small Pin Trading wall - last season's special editions. There's some Christmas stuff, a bit of Kitchen, Toys, Collectibles, clothing for infants to adults; they have it all.

We also hit the Premiun Outlets....just the discount of the pins my girls collect is worth the trip.....:thumbsup2

There are actually three, the two you mention above and a third located at the lake Buena Vista outlet mall on 535 which is a great Outlet mall. Not as fancy as the others but lots of good deals.

I didn't mention that one because I personally think the items they have sold there in the past have been horrible and we don't even go there anymore. So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Also in my original post I forgot to mention when it comes to the items sold at the two stores I listed it really depends on what you are looking for. Some people might go to them and hit the mother load on items, however other people might say they had nothing they wanted. So I say it's hit or miss. Recently I have purchased more things at the Character Warehouse at the Orlando Premium Outlets - International Drive, however the next time I might purchase more things at the Character Premiere.

As for discounts usually their items are 50% or more depending on what it is, so I would say that's a fair number estimate.

I agree. We've been to the LBV Outlets locations a couple of times. The stores are Outlets for Disney branded merchandise, not Disney Outlets. The Outlets at the Premium malls are staffed by Disney CM's and carry the same merchandise that was previously in the parks or Disney stores. The LBV Outlets are independent and carry Disney licensed and branded merchandise, but generally more like overstocks of the stuff you get at Target or Publix (which both have pretty good Disney sections too!). Quality is lesser than the Disney World/Disneyland merchandise.

I'm still depressed they closed the Disney Character Warehouse I had close to me in Dolphin Mall in Miami,it was basically just like the ones at the Premium outlets, there's still one up in Sawgrass Mills in Broward county but it's smaller and further from me.

I think the OP was just looking for a listing of the locations, not recommendations. We always find great deals at the LBV outlet mall and I have found things at the character warehouse as well.
