I was wondering if anyone has any pros or cons for these two Dinner shows. I know they are not on Disney property but I would love some info on them. We are planning our Disney vacation for July and I thought about adding these two dinner shows to our schedule. So I would appreciate any and all input.

1. Pirates Adventure Dinner show.

2. The Dixie Stampede.

I look forward to hearing from everyone

Didn't go to the one in Orlando but did go to the one inMyrtle Beach about 11 years ago and had a blast. They get people from theaudience to join in contests and the kids get to join into.. The food was pretty good. I think one side of the field was north and the other side south.

Hope this helps!!!

WOW! What a blast! Nope, didn't go to the one in Orlando, but there is one in Branson, MO. You get two shows for the price of one there. The first show takes place in a Saloon type of area where you can get a drink with a complimentary "boot" cup and then after that is over, you go to the huge arena. You are either on the North or the South side with friendly rivalry. The food was great and it was the best soup I have tasted in years. Can't eat all your food, too much but I sure gave it a good try! Ha. Ha.

We went about 3 years ago and I doubt it has changed much. This will give you an idea of what it is all about, at least what it was like in Branson. YOU WILL HAVE FUN! Got to buy a flag and wave for your side! Ha. Ha.

I think the tickets were around $35-40 p/p. I thought it was a good deal because you get two shows and dinner and great, clean family fun. I don't have kids but myself and hubby had a good time. :wave2:

We did the Dixie Stampede last year at this time in Orlando and we just loved it. We also did Arabian Nights and had previously done Medieval Times. Dixie Stampede was the absolute best both in its show and its food. Go!! you'll love it!! I don't really remember the cost but agree with taben it's probably $40-$45 each. I'm sure you can find out on the web. We're planning to return in November and will be sure to book a dinner there.

Dixie Stampede's food and overall show quality is head and shoulders better than Pirate's Dinner Adventure. Tickets for Dixie Stampede are regularly $46.99 plus tax for guests ages 12 and up, $19.99 plus tax for kids ages 3-9 or for younger kids if you want them to have a seat (including booster seat). They often run special and there is usually a coupon in the Orlando visitor guides for $5 off adult tix and $1 of kids tix. Currently, there is a kids free special where you can get 1 free kids ticket with each adult ticket purchased (ends 4/16/05).

As far as Pirate's goes, I had free tickets for that and felt that I paid too much. They do have a great set but unfortunately it detracts from the show itself. They also have more audience participation for the kids, but IMO that doesn't make up for its other rough patches.
