I've posted a long question/message on the 'budget' board and would love any input anyone might have - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=725923

We do plan to eat inside the Magic Kingdom and other parks/resort locations while we're there, but we'll probably eat off-site for a few meals too ... such as the day we drive to the park and the day we leave for home and maybe on the days that I'm attending a conference at UCF.

THANKS!
Elaine

this is not Orlando - but Kissimmee along West US 192

there are several brand names restuarants - Denny, golden corral, etc.

Thanks Pat. I'm not looking for restaurants in general, I know all the 'chains' are out there, but I'm specifically looking for ones that are on Restaurant.com. I'll be sure to check the other 'areas' though and not just Orlando specifically.

We really like the Orlando Ale House - near the Crossroads Shopping Center. I'm not sure if they are listed in restaurant.com. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Seems to be a place where the locals go.

Crossroads area just off of Disney has a number of choices. Depending on what you're looking for. I like the Olive Garden Italian restaurant for great food at a good price. In that Area Pebble's Island grill is a slightly more upmarket "casual style" restaurant, Jungle Jim's is a cheaper version of the Rainforest Cafe. Other places I like to eat are Bahama Breeze (2 locations) the Cheesecake factory in the Mall at the Millenium. I-Drive has a host of great choices, many are chains you'll recognise TGIFRIDAY, Red Lobster etc. IDrive also has some individual/unusual restaurants Cafe Tutu Tango has some great reviews and is an interesting place to visit.

I've probably made 30 visits to Orlando over the last 12 years and I haven't heard of any of the restaurants you were specifically asking about, I'll guess they are all a little distance from the WDW area.
