Orlando Amtrak Station - Need to rent a car

Hi all,

Since Hertz is no longer available at the Amtrak Orlando station what would be my best option to get a rental car? I guess I would need to get transportation to a rental car agency and then transportation back on my return trip. Uber? Are they safe in that area? Any close by rental car agencies to the train station?

Cant't tell you which option is best, but I can tell you that the Kissimmee Amtrak station is a LOT closer to WDW than the Orlando station, so if there is any possibility that you'll have to take an Uber or similar, I recommend changing your reservation to debark at Kissimmee.

Looks like there's a Hertz Local Edition a couple of miles from the Kissimmee Amtrak. They close at 5 on weekdays. Perhaps they would pick you up if you can arrive at Kissimmee before 4:30 on a weekday.

There is another Hertz location within 5-10 minutes of the Orlando Amtrak station and they offer pickup service upon request. See location details below:
