All of the World Showcase countries opened in 1982, except for Norway and Morocco. So, they were Mexico, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, France, United Kingdom and Canada.
On opening day, the following pavilions were open: Spaceship Earth, the Land, Imagination, Universe of Energy, World of Motion, and the two Communicores. Horizons opened a year later, the Living Seas opend in 1986, and Wonders of Life opened in 1989. All of the original Future World pavilions have gone through some sort of change or complete replacement since opening day. One of the few attractions to remain unchanged is the Land boat ride, and even it has a different name now; it was originally Listen to the Land. Horizons was demolished and became Mission: Space. World of Motion was gutted and became Test Track. Universe of Energy was modified and became Ellen's Energy Adventure. The 3D movie at Imagination went from Magic Journeys to Captain Eo to Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. The movie at the Land went from Symbiosis to Circle of Life. They removed the vehicles from the Living Seas. Almost all of the pavilions, which had sponsors originally, have now lost them. As you can see, a lot's happened in 22 years!
