Is there anyone else like me?It seems my scrapbook room is never satisfying, if I scrapbooked as much as I tried to organized it, I would have filled photo albums. I just need to get it done and enjoy my own scrapbook room.:lovestruc

Just when I think I've gotten organized, I buy something else that doesn't fit!!! Just need to stop shopping and do more scrapping.

I like your Avatar -- Hello from C&D always great!

No it doesn't seem to be- of course I don't work too hard at it either- I just tend to use my scrapbook area for storage and put projects into something and take them into another spot in the house to work on.

Nope never. At the beginning of the yeat I ripped apart my room (see the organizing thread) and I just redid some more of it last weekend and then I actually used it. Just when I think I've got it and I try to do something I'm frustrated because I can't find/reach something. The current problem I have is stamps. I'm addicted and so I have way to many (and want a ton more) the way I had them worked for about a year now the drawers are too heavy to slide.

My new motto is it will never be perfect so just deal and scrap. It did work though that day I got like 14 pages done.

Hang in there

Actually, I am in a good spot right now. Once I got my own room, I tried to make my storage have room to expand, so that once I brought stuff home, it had a home. I did fill up my paper storage, so I have put myself on paper ban. If I buy any, I better have an immediate use for it. I do make my messes, when scrapping, but I can get everything, except the scraps put away in 15-20 min. Scraps, usually take another 30-45 min. I have 2 things that I am not happy with my current storage option: ribbon (I have it in 2 spots), and flowers (hard to see what all I have). I'm trying to use up some of this stuff, so that might give me a little room to work with.

Joy, if your stamps are giving you problems, could you find an alternative for a subset of your stamps. Like, pull out Christmas, Halloween or some other theme where it is obvious when you might need them. And of course, there is the option of...getting rid :scared1: of the ones you haven't used in forever.

Hope I've put myself on the ban of stamps. I was doing okay space wise till I got dvd cases for the clear ones. I need to pull out the other stuff in the drawer like punches and give them a new home that will help alot. it's just the spot they are in is SOOOO handy.

I don't have a room:sad2: which in a way is good as it stops me buying extra stuff I can't hide:rolleyes1 but is bad becuase things get shoved into various totes so I forget stuff or can't be bothered to get it out. I've got some priority mail boxes with stuff in but they don't stand up straight so it looks messy, plus two boxes of swaps - looks messy as all the plastic bags stick up (but I can find what I want easily so its not changing any time soon;)) And my paper is in a lever arch file which I've stood up but which is so bulging it also looks messy.

I just tell DH to live with it unless he want to convert the shed/build me a scraproom/give up the dining room and eat in front of the TV:rotfl:

Sometimes it's more fun to organize! :)

My stuff is in pretty good shape now so all I have to do is USE it. I have actually been doing pages lately so I have been going through things to see what I have and to see what might spark my interest. Just yesterday I used a paper pack I bought...actually, I can't remember where or when I bought it, but I finally used it. I have been using the DCWV paper stacks instead of just fondling them. ;) I have also been using brads and some plastic flowers I bought at Joanne's on clearance a while back. All these things I "found" when I was working on organizing so for me getting things in order helps my creativity.

I never really had space to scrap before. Once we moved here I always planned to use the basement for my space.

Well 2 years later nothing happened (Stuff was stuffed into a closet). I gave up waiting for the electrican to come and add outlets and heat (it is the girls playroom and my storage room so to say with unfinished walls but carpets, tv, futon, etc).

Well walmart had the BTS/college clearence a few weeks ago and I stocked up. I spent less than I did for a SB weekend. I got a ton of different kinds of bright pink and lime green organizers. I dragged everything (well almost, I keep finding stuff, stuffed weird places, LOL) downstairs. Now it is fun to organize and I have gotten so much stuff done in the last few weeks it is crazy.

But now I find I need to re-organizing stuff to make it fit/flow a little better and might have to shop to find those things missing. ;)

I'm pretty happy with my space right now :) I have to keep it clean as I have my space in the corner of the living room. Just befor Thanksgiving last year I started getting the organizing units at Michael's (white, square, different options for dividers & drawers). I started by organizing my paper. Anyway, now I have 15 storage cubes and my 4 bookcase units and everything is labeled and easy to access :) I even sorted scraps last night (cricut size paper in one place & small scraps in another).

Now I can crop and find my stuff :)

when we moved up to WA this summer I got desks and drawer units from the container store, put smaller drawer organizers for my little stuff in some drawers, still doing a bit of tweaking, got a few more smallers organizers this weekend.
after I get home from library duty at DD school today I am cleaning up my mess from ABC swaps since I finished them up yesterday and reorganize! I love my set up, when I do scrap/swap I bring in my card table too so I have 2 flat surfaces to work on, especially if I'm using my cricut, the extra space is great!

I have recently acquired a TV armoire, one that the doors shut the TV area, and those doors slide back into the sides of the TV area.

A lot of folks are getting rid of these armoires because they have gone with a flat screen TV.

But I have found a great use for the armoire! It holds all my scrapping stuff!

I am SO excited to be able to put it all away and not leave a mess behind!

I do need to add a shelf in the TV area, because there is a bunch of wasted space, but that is an easy modification!
