I sold about 10 items in the past week. Each sale has generated several e-mails. I am getting very confused and I know I need a system to keep everything organized so I can make sure things get sent on time and to know who has contacted me and who hasn't.

How do you organize your sales to keep everything straight? Do you print anything out or do you just keep everything in e-mail files?

Please tell me step by step...I need things spelled out for me. :listen:

I have been on ebay for over 7 years and I have been a seller for most of that. Here's what I do. In my email program (I use Outlook Express), I have a folder called Trading. In this folder, I have sub-folders. One is called Not Paid. This is where I keep all of my ebay emails concerning auctions that have not been paid yet. I have another called Paid, and this of course, has all of the emails for paid auctions. Also, to let me know that there is actually mail in these boxes, I mark each email as unread, that way the folder's name is in bold.

We've been selling on eBay off and on for about 4 years now. DH made up a sheet that has info. on each auction. It has blanks for the Auction number, Item Name, Starting Price, Buy it Now Price, Final Price, High Bidder e-mail address, Shipping Price, etc. As we list items we just fill in the blanks as info. comes in. It also has places for the method of payment and date that the item was paid for and date of shipment. Anytime we get an e-mail from a buyer we cut and paste the important info. and staple it to this cover sheet. After we ship the item we attach the USPS receipt also. We list just a few items here and there and this has worked great for us.
