ordering off kid's menu at Skipper Canteen

Will my picky teens be allowed to order off the kid's menu at Skipper? I'm fine with paying extra, but just wondering if it will be allowed at all.

Jungle Skipper is our favorite TS at Magic these days, and all three of us (mom and two teens) order off their kids menu.

Their adult portions are way too big for me and my daughter; my son loves their kids steak and the kids desserts are just awesome! We don't drink soda, so usually just get water. Never have had an issue, and tip super well so we don't leave the wait staff (who have always been AWESOME) short. I prefer kids portions at pretty much all the table service locations, because walking around in the heat with a full stomach...just blech. We've only had a problem once - at SciFi - but I'd say enjoy!

My adult friend ordered off the Skipper's children's menu with no problems. They even brought her crayons... lol

Yes - I always order the kids fried chicken and double up on 2 desserts to share with my husband

Generally adults (10+) can order off the kids menu anywhere that is not fixed price.

My picky son does it all the time at Skipper Canteen.

I have been to Disney World 3-4 times while pregnant. Nothing sounded good except for foods I ate when I was like 5. I always ordered a kids menu entree. Sometimes 2 if I was really hungry. Servers just laughed about it. If it is a non-Disney run/operated restaurant, I could see some servers being a little more strict with the rules but I have never come across it.

Thanks! I've never tried ordering off the kid's menu at a TS restaurant. I have a small appetite, so I usually order off the appetizer menu, but Skipper Canteen doesn't have anything there that really appeals to me. Some of their kids' selections look pretty good, though.
