Ordering inflatable airbed to arrive at resort for extra sleeping space?

We are staying at POR and there are only 4 of us, but my kids are tall teenagers (a boy and girl). We used to be able to get away with my son sleeping with husband, and daughter with me, but admittedly, now that my son is 16 & 6'2" it is too weird to share a bed with dad, lol. Plus they don't fit comfortably anyway. The last time we stayed in hotel, my son opted to sleep on the floor, which I hate for him to have to do. I see decent twin sized air mattresses on Amazon for about $30 with free shipping to have delivered to resort, and to me it seems like it's a good investment even if we leave it there, as it would put us over the size & weight limit for our luggage.

Has anyone else done this, and will there be adequate space on the floor in a POR Mansion room?

TIA

We did this on our last trip. We stayed at AOA and there were 7 of us (one was an infant), but no one wanted to sleep with our then 16 year old octopus daughter ;) We ordered a great air mattress from Amazon Prime and had it delivered to our room. It was a tall single air mattress and it came with a carry bag to keep it in. We left it blown up the whole week we were there and just set it against the wall during the day. I didn't want to leave it because it was really nice so I just put it in the bag it came with and used it as my carryon piece for the plane. Worked perfectly and we have use it now at home when we need an extra bed :)

You should have space next to the bed blocking the connecting door for a twin.

How big is your DD? If she's on the smaller side, she can use the pull down murphy bed

ETA: Nevermind about the murphy, just reread your post!

Yes there is room, may have to move table and chair but it should work,
and I would just lean it against wall during day. Ask for extra sheets etc.

Make sure it is self inflating or you will need to also order a pump.

We'll my DD14 is 5'9" but I'm 5'2" and actually could probably fit, but we really wanted a mansion bldg, and they don't have Murphy beds, do they? Is that why you said nevermind ?

We did something similar...not at WDW, but on an overseas trip with my DH and 2 DSs. We were staying in an apartment with an upstairs bedroom and downstairs sleeper sofa. My kids usually sleep near our bedroom and were worried bout staying a floor beneath us. So I ordered two very lightweight blow up camping mattresses and carried them on the flight with us. We used them the first night, everyone slept great...then my kids just decided to stay on the sofa downstairs (they were exhausted from the walking we did lol). The mattresses came back with us and are used when we have sleepovers...they are VERY handy.

SO, if I needed something similar at WDW, I'd go for it. But I'd also want to use the mattress afterward, so if you can, bring it home :) .

Mansion Bldgs do not have murphy beds.

PP probably said nevermind because (1) you said you wanted Mansion room (2) AB rooms are given first priority to families of 5.

If you really want a Mansion room, I would call and have them add that to your reservation as a request just in case. And don't book Preferred, those are AB rooms.

We have a Garden View, is that relevant to me making a Mansion Bldg request? Should I call now with the request? My trip is in 32 days.

You can call anytime to request, you can even add it when you book (if you call) and Mansions do have Garden View rooms.
