Ordering Groceries- Can't do with Canadian CC?

Hi there,

So I just put everything in for ordering groceries for our DL trip and guess what- it won't accept my card as the PC is my Canadian one and of course it only wants to take an american zip code. Anyone find a way to order??

If the grocery store uses Google pay or Apple Pay . You could attach your credit card to either one and see if you can pay that way.

I've always ordered through Garden Grocer with my Cdn card and never had a problem. Maybe try calling your CC company? See what they say?

Did you try the zip code trick that Mastercard recommends? Use the 3 numbers from your postal code, then add 2 zeroes at the end.

A friend ordered from Safeway and used the zip code of the resort she was staying at.

The question is why do they need the zip code? Is it to match to the delivery address or is it to verify zip code matches what is on file for the credit card? Gas stations verify the zip code (or our modified zip code) with the card issuer to make sure is the the same as what's on the card file. That's why entering 90210 or 32830 (wdw) doesn't work unless your card was issued to you at an address with that zip code.

But if the merchant is verifying the delivery address, then the hotel zip code would work.

I just looked up garden grocer and it seems to be an Orlando thing, we are off to Disneyland

I thought it was for verifying the credit card itself, but I will try the hotel one,thanks!
