HI,

Does anyone have any idea how easy/possible it is to order from one of these US retailers for either pickup (e.g. from Target) or delivery to hotel (e.g. Amazon)

Though, with the pound/dollar as poor as it is, its not just as worthwhile

I have had deliveries from Ebay and done pick up from Walmart. No problems at all but check with your hotel for any fees. Fairfield Inn LBV charged us $5/package to accept deliveries.

last time i was at the Pop Century Resort, i had 21 packages waiting for me....
most of them had been shipped from Amazon, but several other online stores as well.
It was easy.
And how much better can life be.
Checking into a disney resort and told i have some packages waiting for me and then they wheel out 21 packages....christmas in August!!

It your disney resort has a convention centre attached they also charge someting like $7 per package to hold the item for you, good job you were in POP and not the Boardwalk:rotfl2:

The Disney hotels with conference facilities also charge a fee for accepting packages, where are you staying?

yes, i'm aware of that.
Although, given that i order stuff for us to take home with us that i can't purchase outside the US, i would willingly pay the service fee.

By the way, i forgot to mention Lands End in my list of companies that i order from. I purchase almost all of DH's clothes from Lands End (they have tall man sizes). And tons of shoes from new balance, nike, zappos, and rockport for the weird shoe sizes in the family.

Thanks for the replies. Staying in AoA. Is there any problem setting up Amazon account etc with a hotel address?

not at all - first get the accurate shipping address for AoA...
then in amazon, just set it up as an additional shipping address..
i now have about 20 different possible shipping addresses in my amazon account since i never delete any...
each time i order, i choose the appropriate address, or add a new one...

the shipping address should be as follows:

your name (guest arriving july 12, 2016) --- or whatever your arrival date is
hotel name and address

for example, if your name is jane doe, and your arrival is august 10, 2016, your address should be as follows:

Jane Doe (guest arriving August 10, 2016)
Disney's Art of Animation Resort
1850 Animation Way
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

..

This is not always the case. I regularly get packages delivered to BLT and VGF. The last time was last month....four different packages delivered. I have never been charged.

Hi there, we've just returned from a stay and the Yacht and Beach. I ordered some items from Amazon and a personalised T Shirt from a US Etsy seller, both arrived without hitch and despite staying at a resort with a convention centre (I had to collect the Amazon package from the convention centre) the hotel didn't charge us any extra fee.

The service fee is $15 per package.
