Ordering currency online

Can anyone recommend a company for ordering cash/ travellers cheques online. Not going until June but keeping my eye on the $ rate and online always seems to be a higher rate.

Always used to use Crown Currency but we all know what happened to them.


Not necessarily getting now but just curious who everyone uses.

We used Travelex for currency and have just loaded up a Caxton currency card - 1.50 today

we also use TX for our money. We tend to order it when we think its right and pick it up airside at Gatwick the day of departure.

We always use a Fairfx currency card. They are offering $1.50 today.

If pre-ordering cash, we generally use Post Office or Fairfx, although have used Marks and Spencer and Travelex also.

yeah lost $1000 dollars with them when they went bust Is there a card I can get in Northern Ireland to top up. I dont like taking my everyday card to Florida. Its got a really high spending level, would dread to loose it

The Fairfx card should be available to you in NI. We have had ours for years and I'm pretty sure we got it when we lived in NI so can't see a problem.

We use Travelex, order online and pick up at the train station before we board the train to go to the airport.
