Ordering coffee at night

OK, I apologize for asking again, but how do you order the
coffee from room service and it stays hot till the next morning.
I tried this and the coffee was cold. What am I doing wrong.
I am one person who just can't move till i have that first coffee.

I have done this on both of the cruises and the coffee was hot in the morning. We always have had in delivered in a metal carafe (we didn't ask for it this way it just came that way) but I remember reading a post that said he asked for the metal carafe as opposed to another type?? Maybe that had something to do with it. What kind of container did you get?

it was a white plastic carafe.
definitely going to try this.

lwilliam, I think most everyone places a RS order to be delivered in the morning. That way only hot coffee.

tbuot has a point though, a metal carafe (or as bil calls it carafy) might keep it hot. Guess it depends on when you get to bed.

Those special carafes do keep coffee hot amazingly long.
But personally I would just pre-order it to be delivered at a certain time in the morning. We do that a lot and then the room service delivery doubles as our wake-up call. They are VERY prompt.

If you want hot coffee in the morning, it has to be the METAL carafe! The white ones will not keep the coffee hot!

So when you order the coffee, just ask them for the SILVER METAL one!

I never knew when I would get up so it was nice to have it waiting for me! I cannot function without my coffee! Plus this way, I would shut off the curtain, take the coffee out on the verandah and enjoy!
