Ordering Cakes at Disney

I think you would have to order it before leaving, I'm not sure whether they take payment over the phone or charge when it gets delivered/ I may be able to answer more tomorrow after I call! I AM SO EXCITED!!! He won't have a clue its coming!!

If you could post would be eternally grateful! sending lots of pixiedust: hope you get a nice CM/manager!

How would you go about ordering a cake for your second day after arriving (ie our 1st full day!) ??

It's my DH birthday and would love to get him a cake. We've nothing special planned (as yet) so could either be at resort (POFQ) or restaurant (if we decide to book one)

Can someone advise?

Thanks

You'll need to order it before you leave. Once you decide what you are going to be doing phone the relevant tel no. and order your cake. You'll have to give them a CC no. but you don't have to charge it, you can pay cash if you want to.

:thanks: Catherine

So will I ring where I want cake to be 'delivered' ie hotel, restuarant? or do I call the 'cake line'?

Also, if I have it to hotel would they deliver it whilst we are out so it was waiting in room when we get back?

Yes, call the cake line. I'm sure that they would be able to put the cake in your room while you're out!

Good luck! :goodvibes

I ordered a customised cake from the Boardwalk Bakery for a joint birthday. It was a 10" one and absolutely gorgeous! Here is a picture of it:

How many people do you think the 10" would feed .. there are going to be posibly 21 of us for my dd's and would like everyone to get a little slice each at least, any ideas??? Thanks

Hi i'm not wanting to hijack this thread .. OP i saw your message on the other thread but i couldn't answer your questions am glad you have found people who can :)

I should have multi-quoted!

I think to order the slipper or castle you have to be eating at CRT or a Grand Floridian restaurant. I would love to order one of them, but 1900 Park Faire and Grand Floridian Cafe don't seem romantic enough!

Thanks, just left the GF on Wed, we ate at the GF cafe on Wed night as much as I love it it's not romantic:rotfl2: We are off again to AKV in a few months for my birthday so I want to send a link to this thread to my DH! We are eating at CRT for my birthday but I will probably order my own cake!:rotfl:

I hope your DH is pleased with his :)

Well that went surprisingly well!!! Called the cake hotline, went through loads of options so not sure if eventually I was speaking to the hotline, or the Cali Grill! Spoke to Britney who seemed a little . . . hmm "dim" is the best word, but very, very nice!

I didn't think I would be allowed to order this early (its for May) but she started taking the order straight away so I thought I may as well do it now than call back again in a few weeks. She offered me the 6 inch cake (either chocolate or vanilla, not custom). I said I wanted custom because I wanted to have a message piped on it. She went and checked with someone and came back and said you can have a message piped on the 6 inch one - bonus!! Its the message, not the cake that is important in this case so I went for that! It was $21 plus tax.

So all in all it was very easy! Time will tell if it went right!!!

Only thing that worries me is a) you don't get a confirmation number of the order, and b) I gave them a credit card number which expires next month, assuming they will charge straight away. Just realised they may not charge me until they make it, in which case it will be declined  so will have to call back next month if its not on the credit card statement!

Hope that helps anyone thinking of doing it!

Don't worry about your CC. When I've ordered cakes they've taken a CC no., but it's never been charged to our card. You can just pay for it on the day!
