I have read that it is ok to share meals but was wondering if it is ok to order just an appetizer and a drink or just desert and drink for lunch?
We have an ADR at Sci Fi @ 12 for lunch and later same day we have a 4.30ADR @ Hollywood & Vine :Fantasmic package.
Sci Fi doesn't open till 12, can't get later time at Hollywood & Vine.
We want to go to both places...just don't think we could do a full meal at both.

You can go to any place and just get appetizer / or drinks / or dessert.

Only problem is that if you are on dining plan, you will use ALL of your Table Service credit, even if you only get an appetizer.

Best to pay Out of Pocket, but definitely do both if you can.

They are both great experiences.

(i'm one of the few that loves Sci-Fi. The onion rings are awesome!)

Not only is it OK at Disney World, it's also OK at any American restaurant. I'm not a big eater and routinely order just an appetizer. All I have to do is say "for my meal, I'd like *whatever*". It's always brought out at the same time as my husband's meal.

You'll love Sci Fi. The movies are just cheesy enough to make you laugh. The cycle last about 45 minutes which would be well enough time for an appetizer and a couple of drinks. You might even want to wait around the see the whole thing.

Thanks for the replies. We are not on the dining plan, so it won't be a financial issue. One less thing to worry about!
This is good to know, Disnut8, we will be spending 4 weeks travelling around America...and whilst my DS and DH can polish off 3 or more!! meals a day..I'm more of a grazer and rarely can eat 3 full meals per day. :teeth:

We always do that at Sci-Fi and Coral Reef because we enjoy the decor and relaxing there but are not exactly thrilled with the entrees. It's a great way to check the restaurants out without spending a ton on the meal. Have "dinner" reservations for 6 in February at the Sci-Fi just to do that. Daughter wanted to show her friends the inside because it is pretty cool but we really don't have time for a dinner and as I said the food is not really to our liking.

Hi Monty.

I also had a similiar dilemma about having 2 ADR's kind of close time-wise. When I originally made our ADR's at the 90-day mark, I was told that 12 p.m. was the earliest seating for lunch at 50's PT Cafe and 4:30 p.m. was the latest seating for the Fantasmic package at H&V - this for for the same day, so I took those times. I then called Disney dining back at the 45 day mark and was able to score an 11 a.m. seating for 50's PT for lunch and a 5 p.m. time at H&V for the Fantasmic package. These times were much better for us - at least there is more time in between meals. I then just cancelled our original ADR's so they will be up for grabs for someone else.
