I'm getting very worried...
I called the cake hotline and spoke with someone over at AKL Monday of last week. She really didn't seem to know what she was talking about (was not a chef) - long silences with no answers, etc. - but she took all my info and said that the Chef would get back to me no later than that Friday. Well Friday came and went, and I heard nothing. Saturday comes, and the same woman calls and asks if I got the message left by the Chef. I told her no one had called, and she told me I was wrong - that they did call. I told her that I have had my cell phone attached at the hip because I was awaiting this call - I know for a fact that no one called, and that no message had been left. Plus, if the Chef really did call and leave a message, why would this woman be calling me again when she has nothing to do with the cake pricing and design (what the Chef was calling about)??
So she gave me the phone number to call Chef Trish and give her my phone number so she can call me back.... Guess now I'm doing Disneys job???

Anyone have any experience with the AKL cake Chefs? Am I just hitting a bad patch with these two people, and everything will be OK, or are they really very unprofessional? I am planning on having the cake delivered for our dinner at Sanaa.
