Recently we ordered a model of the ship from 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. I just fell in love with it when I saw it. Along with the order we were given a set of 4 retro character glasses as a bonus. (Very cool!)
The ship arrived about 5 days ago in a HUGE, gigantic box. When we opened the outer box, the other 2 small boxes were inside packed very very loosely with paper. One side of the box was crushed in because the outside box was so big and the contents were so small with no protective packaging.
Jeff took out the box with the model and opened it up. Even though it was packed tightly in its own box, there was a front peice broken off and bouncing around inside. It was tiny piece and Jeff thought he could just put it back on with super glue since sending it back can be a hassle. Then we opened up the glasses and discovered instead of having 4 different ones, they gave us 2 goofys instead.
So we called customer service who were nice about it and they will send UPS to pick it up (on their tab) and resend out our order.
Thats good and I am happy that they will fix it but you would think that a company like Disney would train their people on how to pack a tiny bit better. Jeff said if the smaller boxes had been secure they probably wouldnt have bounced around so much and the inside piece would not have broken. And you would htink they would check to make sure which glasses they were putting together. Not too hard to double check 4 of them.
The packing job was equal to something I have gotten off ebay where just a regular person does a mediocre packing job!
