We have never taken our kids here before-any suggestions on where to start? How about a good touring plan? Any ideas/help is great! thanks :)

ps-my kids are 4 and 8 and are up for just about anything.

Are you staying in the San Diego Area? Are you renting a car or driving yourself?

We have spent every year since 1997 at Seaworld for 4th of July :)
Upon entry of the park, you are given a map that lists the show times for the day. This is the main factor of planning your day. Once you get the map, take a few minutes and look for the shows that you want to see. We always see all of the shows and we always have plenty of time for all the other interactions as well.
One of our favorite things is to of course feed...the sting rays , the sea lions and the dolphins...this is where we end up spending the money the most! The other thing that your kids might enjoy is the playarea that is moslty now themed to Sesame Street. They have a few rides, a huge rope climbing area, and of course the midway games. (this is another area that you can spend alot) ...the good thing is the games are mostly easy, not alot of players and you can win a stuffed shamu or dolphin...kinds takes the place out of paying for it in the shops and the kids love it!
The favorite place to eat is Ship Wreck Reef Cafe....the outside eating has different various animals on shows, sometimes birds, sometimes sea lions ;0)

There is an app for your smart phone that could come in handy and its FREE

Hope you have a fabulous time!
