hi has anyone booked flights using Orbitz as they appear to be cheaper than booking here in the UK and do you get the same protection as you do here. Would really like to here peoples experience.

They are defiantly cheaper. I know wayneg did for his trip and with the dollar higher its a good option

I have many times- not sure what you mean re protection. I always use a credit card and have top travel insurance - not sure what other cover you are after.

As said above I use them. All my flights this year are booked with them.
My VA flights cost just over £600pp, they were over £800pp on UK sites or direct with VA.
Used them for a few years now, one year they were exactly half UK prices.

As soon as I bought they were on VA's website where I chose my seats when they were available. Never had any issues with them.

I have used them for internal US flights - booking were on the own carriers websites immediately with my seat selections :thumbsup2

I highly recommend skyscanner. I recently booked and was comparing with a ton of different sites including orbitz and it was always the cheapest.
I have booked through Orbitz in the past and never had issues. I think anyone can book these things. Not every site takes foreign credit cards but orbitz does.

Thats great thanks for your replies think I will keep them in mind when I book at least its another option
