Right now orbitz has Disney Resort Hotels at the same price as Disney. If you use Promo code: "discover" you save an extra 20% off!!!! It makes booking through Orbitz hundreds cheaper than Disney right now!!! Just a heads up. pixiedust:

so is this a better deal than probably a summer room only deal?

Thanks! I'm waiting for June discount but this is still a good deal. I can always fall back on this if I can't get a 30% soon.

is this good for all dates?

Does anyone know when this promo code expires? We are thinking about a last minute trip and we may not decide until next week.

And thanks for posting this. This is actually 11% cheaper than the AP rate for our possible dates!

You might want to check cheaptickets as well. It's run by orbitz but usually has a larger discount promo code. I booked my trip through them and saved almost 200 dollars

I'd be so on this if Orbitz would update to allow for bookings into early Jan 2015.

i would save about 100 off of our may ressie booking through orbitz, but they want the whole bill upfront for a room only ressie?

Just a heads up when booking through these sites you are only guaranteed a reservation....They will promise you the moon and the stars and when you get there the things that you may have been promised you may not get... I know the price may be good but Disney has NO control over these reservations.. Hotels cannot change these reservations its just check you in and you out..... I know this because I work at a hotel front desk for 8 years and have seen horror stories when people book through them just be careful and ask lost of questions and contact the hotel to make sure everything you have requested is on your reservation and that they have received it too. Sounds like a good deal though :wave2:

thanks for this, I booked yesterday with a 15% off promo code I found on mousesavers...luckily they have free cancellation so I just cancelled and rebooked, saved me $45 off the 15% code and ended up being around $135 cheaper than the annual pass discount (and with the added benefit of me not having to go to downtown disney at 6:30pm to upgrade our old unused tickets to annual passes in order to check in to the hotel)

Thanks so much for sharing this!! I had booked a 1 night room-only stay before a cruise yesterday....so rebooked today, and saved $40!

thanks for the code I almost booked last night with the 15% code but this saves me an additional $50. We're not exactly sure of our travel dates, give or take a day. Is it easy to cancel? I'm thinking of overbooking and then canceling the night if I don't need it. I know I have to cancel by a certain time for it to be free. Also, once I make these reservations I can log into mde and add them right? I noticed ticket prices on orbitz went up too. We're thinking of going 4/11 - 4/18 - easter week. We did it years ago and it was so crowded. I swore I would never go that time of the year again, but its really the only time we can go this year. Are we crazy? Also, we are driving. Is it worth the extra $$ to stay at All Star Music and take the bus into the park or somewhere off site and drive in.

How could they when Disney hasn't even published their rates for 2015?

Not sure what you mean because I hold a reservation with Disney right now checking out on 1/3/15. I know what that rate is just can't get an Orbitz quote for the same dates.

Are you sure that your rate from Disney is guaranteed? Disney typically announces their room rates for the next calendar year in July or August. You can still make room-only reservations (no packages) for a future date (I think that it's 499 days into the future) but the rate is based on the current year's rate for those same days and is subject to change once the actual price schedule for the upcoming year is announced.

This is fantastic - thank you so much for the heads up! I was able to save $40 over two nights over Memorial Day weekend. Every little bit helps!

Thanks!!! I just booked for November and saved $600 ( actually a little more because I booked through Ebates). How do I link this ressie to MDE?
Tia :)
