Frequent WDW visiter but haven't been since FP+ was instigated. I found a great hotel rate for 4 nights at a Value Resort and was going to book it - tickets popped up next and they are also at a great rate for 5-day PH passes.

Just wondering if anyone else has gone this way (hotel and tickets from Orbitz) and successfully attached them to the MDE account (I believe that is what it is called) so that you could then get FP+ reservations 60 days out.

Thanks so much. This is a trip that we didn't think we were going to be able to make and it's over Spring Break (Mar 20-24) so it'll be busy and I want to make sure we get a few of the FPs that we want. We're all adults - so won't do any charter meet & greets - just the big rides.

There will be a number somewhere on your receipt that you will use to get your fastpasses. I never could figure out exactly which number to use, but called Orbitz & they had a hard time figuring it out, too! But they found someone who could help & it all worked just fine AFTER the correct numbers were entered.

Email them the day after your purchase - it's easiest if you click on the link in your purchase on your Orbitz account. Ask them to send your, "MyMagic+ code," so that you can link the tickets to My Disney Experience. Email seems to be more reliable than a phone call.

I rented points for our stay at VWL and bought our tickets from Orbitz. The purchase confirmation I received from Orbitz had a section at the bottom that read as follows:

Your Disney MyMagic+ Experience
MyMagic+ will take your Walt Disney World® vacation to an all-new level and unlock a new dimension of Disney magic to make it yours like never before. Once you've booked your Disney Theme Park ticket, go to StartYourDisneyExperience.com - your special gateway to the My Disney Experience website. You have access to an incredible suite of online tools providing recommendations to help you and your family personalize your experience both at home and on the go. You'll have the power to reserve access to some must-do experiences with Disney FastPass+ service, including select attractions, shows, parades, Disney Character meet and greets and more - before you even leave home.

Your Disney Ticket confirmation will be available on your My Trips page within five business days. Look for the code next to the MyMagic+ logo. Please log on to Orbitz after five business days to obtain your Disney Ticket confirmation number. The Disney Ticket confirmation number will allow you to reserve access to select Disney FastPass+ experiences and more.

Valid Theme Park admission and online registration required. FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available windows are limited.

When I logged into the Orbitz site and checked the order the confirmation numbers were there for the tickets.

It was easy. No hassles at all. I combined it with the ebates.com program and got an additional cash back rebate of about 3.5%

I didn't book our hotel using Orbitz, but have read on this forum to only book the hotel for the number of adults in your party. There is a glitch in the orbitz.com site that will charge you for children staying in the same room as if they are adults. WDW allows children under 18 to stay at no additional charge when sharing the room with parents.

Once the room is booked and you have the Disney confirmation number, you have to call or chat with customer service at Orbitz and have them call Disney and add the children to the reservation. They will make the call while you hold.

Again, ebates.com will give you an additional cash rebate. Also, don't forget to stack any available orbitz discount codes on top of the Disney discounts they are offering.

This was how we did it last year, but this year you don't even have to do that. You just wait 5 days and then log in to Orbitz and My Magic code will be there on your confirmation.

I was thinking of buying the tickets from Orbitz with the promo buy a 3 day hopper and get 2 days free. Has anyone done this? Are the 2 extra day hopper tickets too? or are they added on as single park tickets?
Thank you for clarifying if anyone has done this deal

Yes, I purchased one. It is just a regular 5 day park hopper for the price of a 3 day hopper.

FYI - in February, 2013 and 2014, Ebates offered 20% cash back on Orbitz activities purchases, including theme park tickets. I bought my tickets last February, including the five-days for the price of three promo, right before this year's ticket price increase. It was an incredibly good deal.

If you are able, it might be worth waiting 4-6 weeks to see if they run that promo again. Here's the Disboards thread discussing it:

**Edit I see you need your tickets for March, so of course you can't wait. I'm going to leave this message for others, though.**

We booked w/Orbitz yesterday and the associate said it would take 5 days for the MyMagic+ code/Disney Ticket Confirmation # but then it would be immediately available in my online account at Orbitz. I do see this right now:
Disney Ticket Confirmation:
Pending

which is where I am assuming the MyMagic+ code will appear but for anyone who has experience with this, did email get it to you faster? (Or will it possibly update quicker than 5 days online)? We are staying onsite and have our reservation set in MDE, but just booked. So through my own planning glitches, five days puts me RIGHT at the 30 day window for FP+, when it would be open to off-site guests and I won't have a prayer at some of our goal attractions. Crossing fingers it may show up sooner than 5 days, so looking for anyone w/experience and whether it will and/or I should email anyways in case that prompts it along.

I actually never received and email and had to go back to Orbitz and look at our itinerary for the trip and the Magic Code was added...It was about 4-5 days before so keep checking.

Just went through this a few weeks ago. It took 4 days for it to appear in my account under my profile in orbitz. I kept checking everyday and them it finally popped up. I did send them an email the day before to ask if they had the number yet. Don't know if that had anything to do with it getting there before the 5 day mark. It can't hurt to send a quick email after a few days.
Everything linked up perfectly in my MDE.
