Orbitz tickets and adding a day- help!

If I buy a 4 day hopper through orbitz, can I add a 5th day when I get to the parks?

How much will Disney charge me for the 5th day?

Right now the price difference for 4/5 days is $25 on orbitz. I am thinking it's cheaper to add once there.

If you buy a 3 or 4 day PH through Orbitz, you get an extra day for free. So it's obviously cheaper to do it through Orbitz.

We bought the "buy 3 days get a 4th free" on Orbitz last year and upgraded to AP's. If you use the ticket before entering the park, you will get credit for gate price for the ticket you have toward the price of what you want to upgrade to.

You can upgrade to AP anytime after you turn your printed voucher in for a regular ticket, and still get credit for the full gate price applied to the upgrade. Typically you need to upgrade before the end of the last day you use the ticket. But there are exceptions.

Since I was upgrading from a buy 3/get4 ticket, I did not want to take a chance on them only crediting me for the price of a 3 day ticket.

So it is like WDW where they count it as gate price once the ticket is used? I think it's cheaper to buy "3 days get the 4th free" and add a 5th than buy the "4 days get the 5th free"

That's my understanding. YMMV.

And that's precisely why I did buy 3/get 4 instead of buy 4/get 5. The free day had a greater value.
