Orange Slushie - A MUST TRY for adults who aren't driving.

I have heard of so-called Epcot drinking tours, and while I fully plan on trying to assemble on of my own afterwards, does anyone in this forum have one they'd care to share? I'd love to hear more of the "try the Grand Marnier but not the lemonade, it's not as good" sorts of stories to see which drinks are actually worth it, both $$ and calorie wise!!

Thanks everyone for the updates!

LOVE the slushies but boy are they STRONG! I'm not a light weight by any means but I was feeling it!

For those who like the slushies, also check out the peach shnapps tea slush in China.. YUM!

I've done the " frozen drink tour" of World Showcase, and highly recommend it:thumbsup2

I wonder if you could pay extra to have them put a "floater" on top. That's what we do to make them the way they "should be." :thumbsup2 Has anyone tried this?

Well, so far I've only had the Grey Goose - and it was good. I'd fork over the money for another one. Next trip I plan to try the Grand Marnier. I've heard that it's very sweet. So, if you're more a tart person - go for the Grey Goose. If you want sweet, go for the Grand Marnier. It won't be until January until I can report which one I prefer. But I like tart and sweet.

I love the lemon grey goose slushy the most!! I had the grand marnier one and it was too sweet on the day I had it, way too hot!! It made me feel yucky, and no one wants to feel yucky at Epcot. So I agree with the pp who said it is a matter of taste, I love tart things, so frozen lemon slushy is perfect for me. It also had plenty of booze in it for me, but I am pretty much a lightweight as far as that goes...:rolleyes1

I recommend that any adult going to Epcot, and isn't driving, stop in the area of the France pavillion and get yourself one of the Grand Marnier orange slushies that are sold from the "cart" next to the lagoon. They're a bit pricy, but very good. I'm not a big drinker, but after my wife & I found these two years ago they're now a planned stop at least once on any of our trips. They also sell a Grey Goose lemonade slushie from the "cart", but I don't think it's as good as the orange. Careful drinking them under the hot sun.

Oh boy - thoughts of this just made my day - thank you so much for posting! I am sooo having one of these!

I had the lemon one in 08--VERY tasty!
I don't remember it being strong. Heard about it right here on the DIS boards.

Unforunately, upon me ordering it, Mr. FFerret decided it was time to leave Epcot NOW. Great, honey--we're couldn't possibly be any further from the parking lot here :)

So now I have to slam it so we can grab the boat across the lagoon. BRAIN FREEZE! He did let us ride Spaceship Earth, though :woohoo:

can you not take it to go? is it not in a disposible cup? just curious cause i'd like to try it to but not if i have to stay in the same spot to finish it....

I have had both the Grey Goose Lemonade and the Grand Marnier and they are both tasty although I would have to agree that they were not very strong when I had them. I have also had my fair share of margaritas in Mexico, it is a must-have for my sister and I. This year it was really hot on our Epcot day, it took me forever to drink that thing down. I just remember being really sweaty and I knew I couldn't take it in anywhere so I had to sit out in the sun until I finished it, it was delicious but I was like "this drink was $9, I have to drink all of it!" :)

Grey Goose lemon wins here. The orange is too sweet.

I've never considered these to be strong drinks.

They come in a plastic cup and yes, you can walk around Epcot with them. But you cannot take them out of the park.

When I was there in Dec. there were flavors other than the Lemon Grey Goose and Grand Marnier one. I'm guessing there were 4-5 machines total. I think the one I got was a Cosmo and I could taste the liquor. It was really yummy. Can't wait to get another one next trip!
