We own at Vistana Resort. BUT we are staying at Orange Lake for our vacation at Easter Week.

For those who have stayed at both, Is Orange Lake as nice as Vistana Resort?

Does Orange Lake have any "old" units that aren't kept up with?

Never been there so I hope you don't think my Questions are ridiculous.

We Have 2 kids 8 and 12, will they like it?

We are going there no matter what, as it is booked.

I went on their website and it seems beautiful, but we all know how websites are.

Thanks for your responses

no - their 2-bedroom are nice - this is a large resort - very, very large resort - that is the only complaint - having to take your car to the swimming pool.

lots of people just stay here - they don't go to the parks or anything - there is enough here to entertain and you might appreciate that on a holiday week.....

the only complaint is against the studio - too dark!!! no windows!!!

go join
www.tug2.net

they will show you how to ge the most out of your timeshare....they are really a great help!!!

I will be joining TUG. How long until you can enter their site as a member. I didn't sign up yet, but the application states 2 days. Does this sound correct to you.

Thanks

I've stayed at both and would vote for the Vistana. Our Orange Lake unit was older and wasn't that clean. The place is huge and I think that its location is out of the way on 192. I also didn't like the fact that the place was SO big. Who wants to get in the car to go to the pool. We stayed in the Cascades section of the Vistana. A very nice resort but it does have some older units.

all the work on tug (like this one) is done by volunteers - and that means when they get time - so yes 2 days.

I had trouble changing my ID to a member - so it took quiet a while and alot of help - the person who was helping me - finally had to go change my password for the system to work.

you can logon and ask questions - you just can't see the reviews. Your logon once you become a member should change - if it doesn't just go to the technial board on their site and ask for help.

this year for Thanksgiving we will be staying in the Vistana Resort - 2-bedroom

next year for July 4 (July 2), 2005- we will be at Orange Lake -
I know it is big - what were your other complaints???

I have seem so few - besides as I have already stated it is BIG. and no one seems to like the studios.

The place was dirty. When we checked in there were 10 large bags of laundry out in front of our unit. When I got up the next day they were still there. Our unit wasn't very clean. We found someone's sock in our closet and there were burnt matches out on the deck. I'm not a golfer so that doesn't mean anything to me and as stated before, the place was too big and I didn't like the location way out on 192. It wasn't that bad and I only paid $595 for the week and it was president's week but compared to all the other places my family and I have stayed OLCC is at the bottom of the list.

thank you - I have never here this complaints against Orange Lake - Vistana yes - OL no - so thanks!

see if you can't place your comments in the RCI commuity thing.

I don't think you need to be a member of RCI to do it - I will get the website later if you think you might like too.
