Sorry that I am so late! Things have been nuts around here and I haven't been able to get this up.

I got my orange package, but I have to apoligize as my daughter ran off with the note and since her new favorite thing to do is tear paper, it wasn't readable when I got to it!

I got:

-Orange stuffed pumpkin!

I'm still a newbie, so forgive the question....

What's an orange exchange?

I originally guessed oranges (as in citrus fruit), but then I saw a brown exchange thread! (I don't even want to guess that one!)

Exchanges go sort of like this.

You see an exchange posted for something you might like to participate in eg. postcards, t-shirts, brown etc.

You PM the original poster with your name, address etc. When the sign up time has ended you will receive via PM a name and address. You would purchase the exchange item for example brown things or orange things or t-shirts.......... and then you would mail those items to the name and address that you have received.

Someone will be doing the same in return with your name and address

You post on the sent/received thread when you send your parcel out and when you receive your parcel and what you received. You don't tell who you sent your parcel to because that is part of the fun .......... seeing where your parcel comes from

It is fun to get mail that is not a bill and to make a few new friends on the DISboards too!!

Yes, it's definitely a lot of fun!

You'll just have to sign up for one and try it for yourself Tony! Just read back through some of the posts on this thread to get an idea of what people send. For this, the ORANGE exchange, we could send anything that was the color orange.

Just beware...exchanges are addictive.

I got mail today.

There was no note in the parcel but it was from Virginia and yes it was mailed on the 27 of August so I am guessing that it was from you taekwondo mom ~~~~ The name on the outside says it is from Veronica.

Inside I found all of these neat orange things ........

Ryans pkg. did indeed arrive (not sure even when). However, she forgot to tell me I'm not too happy with her about this. I've been having several problems/issues with her lately. She can't find the pkg. it came in nor does she remember who sent it to her. So to whomever sent Ryan her pkg., Thank you. I am very sorry for the delay in posting and making you worry that it hadn't arrived. Guess I'll have to make sure if I don't get the mail, one of the adults in the house does. ugh!!
