OR Sort-of... Universal Surprises for DD

I know I can post this on the US/IOA boards, but thought I would hit the
family board up first. There always seems to be a wealth of knowledge on
here about pretty much everything kid and family related.

So...we are taking our first trip to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures
this April. When we took DD to WDW two years ago, we did the full-out
thing... GOH badge, Tinkerbell surprises every morning, Disney PJs,
new Disney outfits for everyday, etc. Now, I'm sort of stuck for this trip.
First of all, the merchandise is not as easy to come by. Secondly, there
just isn't as much info out there obviously.

Can anyone help? What have you done? I have ordered her some Cat-in-
the-Hat PJs. That is all! Oh, I have printed out some activities from online
with US/IOA type characters for the flight down. But, that is truly it.

This Disney fan is trying to try something new... without much success.

How about some things from Shrek, Scooby Doo, Jimmy Neutron, the Grinch, ET, Curious George, Popeye. You could probably get something to do with dinosaurs (Jurrasic Park) and they do have a unicorn and dragon ride.

Sorry these are pretty lame suggestions, but it's all I can come up with quick - I'll have to go thru my stuff from last trip and see if I can find something brilliant - I cannot remember a lot of the attractions at the moment

When we went in October the Madagascar animals were riding around in a float, so maybe something related to that?
One Fish Two Fish book (they have that ride there)
There's an animal show too (dogs/birds), so something animal planet-ish

try asking your question on the Universal board. Many of the posters also work there and have really great advise on all things universal!
