options on renting a car

Hi all,

We are planning a trip to Disney and Universal from April 30-May 6. We were at Disney Dec 2005 and have never been to Universal. My question is can you get a rental car at DIsney? We were hoping to use the Magical express upon arriving but then getting a rental for our last 3 days and then returning it to the airport. Does anyone know how I could arrange this?

Sure you can. You could take the bus to DTD and walk up HPB to the Doubletree and rent from Budget, or to the Hilton for Avis. Hertz will pick you up at any WDW hotel and take you to their Kissimmee location on 192. You can return any of these rentals to the airport. There's more options but these are the ones I've used.

You can also pick up a car at the car care center on Disney property or at the Dolphin hotel. We always do one way rentals for one day and pick up at the airport and then drop off at the dolphin or car care center. Alamo and National used to be available at both locations, but I believe that has changed.

In addition to the above, Dollar is at the Grosvenor in Downtown Disney - just across the street from the Disney Bus Stop.
