I'm trying to figure out how to best do DCA on a Saturday in mid October when others are doing EMH/MM at DL. I'd like to ride RSR twice---during the day and again at night. I also want to ride the new Soarin' and get in TSMM as well as the other rides like TOT, GRR, (no need to do CS). I think most will fall into place, but I want to maximize my first few hours:
Option 1: Is it best to do wide right for RSR and then get 1-get fp for Soarin' and go to TSMM OR
Option 2: do wide right for RSR and go to TSMM and then go to Soarin' and get fp for it and ride it.
OR first pull my Soarin' fp, then go to TSMM and then ride RSR (how long will the ride be)?

I'm almost confusing myself. Any help much appreciated.

We always start our day at DCA without magic morning so I can definitely help!

I would suggest going to Racers first then take the back path through the wharf over to the bridge to go hit toy story. Go past little mermaid and grizzly to soarin' and ride that. The line is so short in the morning I wouldn't worry about getting a fast pass, but if it seems longer then usual you can grab a FP instead. If you want to see Frozen I would then go get that fp.

For nighttime racers you can either keep checking the app for the return times to become late enough and run over and grab one or you can do what we do and grab a pretzel and a beverage and go hangout in line when WOC is going on. It will take you about an hour or so but it is easier imo then spending your time checking for the return times for fast pass throughout the day.

Hope that helps!

Option 1 or 2 would be best. Even with the new movie there will be plenty of FPs for Soarin' through the morning.

If you want to ride again RSR in the evening, I would either stalk the FP return times (through the app or walking by), or use Single Rider. My favorite way to do it is to go to the front of Carsland just before dusk, watch the neon lights turn on, and then get in the SRL. It's dark enough by the time you get to ride.

Thank you both for your great info--I feel like I have a good plan and will go to RSR first, then TSMM before Soarin'. Using the app for fp return times is new for me--and there will only be two of us so the SRL is also a great idea for nighttime.
