options for banked points?

I have 193 banked points that will expire on Oct 1st. Right now I have a reservation at VWL for late August, but we've never visited at that time and I'm worried about the heat/humidity. Neither DH or myself are very heat tolerant and we'll have a 4 month old and 3 year old in tow. With a baby arriving in 2 months we won't have a chance to get to WDW in the near future.

Can I deposit the points with II considering they are banked (to be used after Oct 1st)? What about the Cruise Line -- can I use the points past Oct 1st to cruise or are the points still subject to that expiration date regardless?

I know the Concierge Collection is an option but nothing is appealing right now and it's an awful lot of points to blow that way. Any ideas, or reassurances that August isn't THAT hard on an infant and people who despise humidity?

I think August would be horrible with an infant or a pregnant individual! I can't even stand September down there. I am not positive, but I think you CAN deposit an exchange in II. MS should be able to help you with that.

I would not go to Florida in August with an infant if you paid me!! I'd find an alternative so you can enjoy your vacation!

You may be able to use the points for the DCL, CC, DC, DVC stays, II depoist (maybe) or rent the points. The reason I say maybe on the II is that you must be able to get a NEW reservation to deposit with II, you can't just deposit what you already have reserved even if it fits the other rules. I find this unique and probably not reasonable but that's the way it's been explained to me by DVC. I'm sure you can find something for the summer or Sept to deposit though. Depositing first with II has it's drawbacks as Cinderella can attest.
