Oprah's Sydney Taping

I was selected for tickets to the afternoon taping! Myself and Aust will be attending I've never been a fanatical-fan of Oprah (I work full time and have therefore never been a regular watcher), but I'm a bit excited now!

Did anyone else apply? Were you successful?

OMG!!!! I am so excited for you. I was so tempted to apply but I've got so much on before we fly on Dec 9 that I thought I should be sensible (wish I'd had applied now!). When is the taping?

How exciting for you!! It will be a great experience . Make sure you dress nicely (have you ever noticed how impeccable Oprah's audiences are?) and bring your earplugs!

I applied - and then realised I will be at Disney when it is going on. So I wasn't disappointed when I got the email to say I didnt' get any tickets.

As I've said elsewhere, I'll be sure to be dressing Aust for our afternoon out (I was going to apply to have her on the makeover section of the show - with her permission of course - but I won't be doing that now LOL). Not that I'm such a fashion-plate, but her favourite colour is black, and not recommended by Oprah's crew for a good audience-colour!

I DO feel lucky, seeing how disappointed so many people are. And Princess, I wasn't even thinking about freebies. Is that a regular thing that she does?

Gives us something nice to do before our holiday...Oprah, then Christmas, then our holiday...The taping is December 14, we will be at the evening taping.

We were lucky to get tickets for the morning taping. DH and I are going!!

It will be exciting.

Oprah 14th, then fly to Orlando on the 27th December.

Yay syddis! You'll have to get on here quickly once you're finished taping, and tell us what we can expect! My DH sounded a bit sooky (via email) that I was taking my sister - but she was the one who told me to register in the first place, not him, so too bad!

When did you all get your replies????? I got up this morning to check my emails and I had one and I was too nervous and then when I did all it said was "this is a test" . What the???? did anyone else receive one like that?

I missed out I wanted to get tickets badly for my BFF because she's been an Oprah-nut since we were teenagers. She missed out too Can't say I'm too disappointed for myself, since I was a bit hesitant to go too far from my midwife so close to my due date :lol:

She gave away a trip to Sydney to everyone that was in the audience that day. And she's given away cars, perfumes, vouchers....
I don't know if she will give something away for all the shows she's taping in Sydney.....but you never know.

Lovintheland, I saw quite a few people on various websites yesterday having no idea why they received the same email as you, that said 'Test'. I hope it somehow means you have been accepted, but just received a dodgy email?

And Princess, I think with a 3000-strong audience for each show, the freebies may be limited LOL.

Yes I got an email yesterday saying this is just a test. Turns out after I sent an email back asking very nicely did I get a ticket. I woke this morning to no you didn't. Talk about getting my hopes up and then just pulling them down. But I must be gracious and be happy for those that did get one. Hope you have a great day!
