Opinons on Disney Water Parks

We are going to Disney in April and my oldest wants to go to a water park this time. I am trying to figure out which one to go to. My girls are ages 9 (turning 10 in July) and 6 (just turned 6 in Feburary). We are traveling with my MIL and her husband. She loves Typhoon Lagoon, but my girls' doctor takes her kids to Blizzard Beach because she feels it is more child friendly. Is one viewed to be better for kids my daughters ages or is it all just a matter of opinon?

That said, for your kids age I would go to BB. Kids will LOVE LOVE LOVE the Ski Patrol Training area. Perfect for their age. A perfect place to set up home base. When ever you want to rest, they can have a blast right there in front of you. BB has a lazy river like TL, and the wave pool is a gentle one. The family raft ride is awesome and my kids would ride that all day. Plenty of slides for everyone. Kids love the cartoon theme and it's fun atmosphere.

I have to agree with Hopper, I have been to both several times. BB being my favorite. My niece is 9 and loves the ski patrol area, We go in and search out one of the secluded decks that overlook the lazy river and set up camp for the day. The slides are great for all ages. The cooling stations are also in great locations for a quick refill on your drink.
